The 100 Club: Second Viking ticketed for speeding

Bernard Berrian was cited Monday night for driving 104 miles per hour in a 60 mph zone.

Star Tribune

Doesn't help stadium cause

The last thing the Vikings stadium efforts need are for the players to show up on the Police blotter. Stadium opponents will latch onto read more any negative PR and this isn't Love Boat level but posing a risk to other drivers/families on the road provides ammunition.

Adrian Peterson wasn't the only Minnesota Vikings player speeding in the past few days.

Late Friday, the State Patrol confirmed that wide receiver Bernard Berrian was cited on Monday night for driving 104 miles per hour in a 60 mile-per-hour zone on Interstate 694 in Oakdale.

According to patrol Capt. Matt Langer, a trooper stopped Berrian at 9:38 p.m. in the southbound lane.

Meanwhile, a tape of Peterson's Saturday traffic stop shows the speedy running back might not have been watching the speedometer closely.

Peterson expressed disbelief to the officer that his BMW was clocked at 109 mph.

"How fast you think you were going?" an Edina police officer asked after stopping him on Crosstown Hwy. 62.

When Peterson replied, "85," the officer replied, "you think you were 30 over the limit? I got you going 109." After giving Peterson the ticket, the officer, referring to Sunday's game against the Chicago Bears, told Peterson, "Good luck to you tomorrow."

With that, the two ended their encounter with a handshake.

He probably just didn't realize how fast he was going. 😉

Man, it's a speeding ticket. Imagine if every time you said something politically incorrect, were mean to a person, had a driving infraction or did anything wrong that it was in the news and people were calling you a POS for it.

I LOL'd when I saw this.. Unbelievable.

This is only 2 days separated from AP's infraction.. And I don't think AP's infraction went public until AFTER Berrian got busted. So, it's not like you can use that argument.

At least Berrian was on 694.. If yer gonna hit the century mark in the vehicle, that's the place to do it.

I didn't say he was a POS. I sure as hell won't be making excuses for these people. They make millions because of THE PUBLIC.

When I got a speeding ticket, my family and friends said I need to be more responsible and smarter.

And 'its just a speeding ticket', you should tell that to Jerome Brown and his pre teen nephew, afterall he was just speeding.

I am not trying to minimize it. But take a look at this.

http://www.trafficticketsecrets.com/speeding-ticket-facts.html

Over 100,000 people a day receive a speeding ticket

Thats over 41,000,0000 speeding tickets per year

There are 196,000,000 licensed drivers in America today

Ok, maybe I am trying to minimize it. Don't bring up Jerome Brown. Berrian and Peterson were not responsible for that. Also, the fact that guys make millions of dollars shouldn't mean that they have to be perfect or live up to everyone's expectations.

Maybe these guys are just designated driving for JA, which would be a good thing, right?

I can see him demanding that everyone hurry the hell up before last call.

Plus, what time do all those whorehouses in Minneapolis close?

I have heard that town is full of them, but I have never been there and don't know their hours of operation. :physassult:

Never mind, I just remembered...It wasn't a "pack of whore HOUSES"...

(Now Jeremy, you know I'm only kiddin' here..you know how I like to diss on Jared etc. :thumbleft: )

I don't think these speeders have anything to do with the strip clubs/whorehouses in Minneapolis. Although, I wonder where Berrian was heading.. He was cited on the opposite end of town of Eden Prairie (where Winter Park is.. And where most pro athlete's in Minnesota live).

Zero2Cool (13-May) : Sources spoke of many, many times last summer where Hackett called a play, then Rodgers changed it completely at the line
Martha Careful (10-May) : 1. this is true of all our linemen. 2. His run block is fine. 3. If all OL played like he has, we would win SB.
beast (10-May) : Meyers pass blocking is really good, his run blocking is really not.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : Packers have claimed DE Spencer Waege off of waivers from the 49ers and waived DT Rodney Mathews.
Zero2Cool (9-May) : And the OL protections seem to be good.

Zero2Cool (9-May) : -3 buwahhhahaaha
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : 4th
Zero2Cool (9-May) : because he's 1st
Mucky Tundra (9-May) : Myers isn't even the 3rd best C on the roster atm
Martha Careful (9-May) : I am not sure I understand the Myers hate. He was consistently our third best lineman. RG and LT were worse.
beast (9-May) : Just saying I don't think moving Myers would help Myers.
