2 teams just got alot better in the bears and the lions with some good moves, they over paid but good moves. We still lack talent in the secondary and with Cro going for a 3rd and Rolle going does Ted Thompson bring in any TALENTD help?

Well I'm sure the Packers secondary got at least a little better by getting back last years #2, 4, and 5 CBs.

I remain in the camp that they need to sign one veteran experienced safety that is a smart player and can communicate very effectively pre-snap.

With Collins range.. he doesn't have to be an incredible athlete.. although if he could bring that great.. needs to be an effective tackler though and very high football IQ.

That eliminates Sharper. lol.

Sounds great. Which unrestricted free agent did you have in mind?

I'd like the Packers to bring in a young, pro bowl LT, who enjoys community work and will give us a signing discount because he just loves Wisconsin cheese. Get him signed TT!

(I don't mean to be a jerk, but there aren't a ton of guys that fit your description).

Is Ryan Clark still available?

edit: Ted should sign him to a long-term deal in the $4-5M per year range. That oughta really piss Nick Collins off. hahhaha.

Clark would be my choice too, but I'm sure if he isn't wowed by a big number contract, he'll just stay in Pittsburgh. Stevetarded, who actually is pretty smart, has the right idea at corner. Woodson, Lee, and Tramon should be just fine at corner. I'm not holding out much hope for Al though.

I just want Bigby replaced whether it be Clark or a second round draft choice.

Nice looking baby Bozz, looks like Mom right?

I think the team could add some depth to their secondary by picking up someone like Buchanon who was just cut by the Lions. He'd at worst probably be a decent dime back and some insurance who has starter experience if Al Harris isn't 100% back right away.

Well sounds like 7 to 9 teams are interested in Clark...

also the agent is gonna be trying to get Rolle type money as he thinks Clark is better (and that maybe true, Rolle has more upside but more downside as well)

Other S out there (if they haven't resigned or something) are

Sean Jones, Gibril Wilson, and Brodney Pool...

Clark and Wilson have worked with the Packers S coach for a season...

Jones and Pool have been with the Browns their whole career (other than Jones played last year with the Eagles)

Jones has 14 INTs in 3 years span with the Browns but didn't seem to solve the Eagles Safeties problem last year even though he started 9 games.

Wilson has made 24 million in two years with two one and done seasons. Al Davis simply over paid him and had to cut him after one year to save money and then the Dolphins signed him and he had a poor season but then again he was working with very young CBs and some inside the Dolphins defended him that it wasn't all his fault.

Pool is a very talented, young Safety that was draft ahead of Collins but his career has been threatened by a series of head injuries, concussion. But he wants to keep playing...

I really don't think we will be getting back our #2 this year. It takes a calendar year to heal from that surgery, and they say it takes another year to get back your quickness. This is especially true for corners (see Dunta Robinson).
