In all fairness, the Vikings were one missed field goal from the Super Bowl.

But my point was purely hindsight, of course: no one could have known then that the primary driver behind Culpepper's amazing season was not Culpepper himself but Moss. Moss has a knack for making decent quarterbacks (and that's what I consider Brady, definitely NOT elite) look amazing.

Tom Brady had amazing seasons even before Moss came into town. Yes, Brady is elite.

(for the record 28-to-14 TD-INT ratio seasons are amazing and are rare).

I got curious.

Out of the 18 QB's who threw for 20 TD's or more, 9 of them had a 2 TD's to 1 INT ratio.

The difference column was calculated by (INT total * 2) - TD's)

Example : Favre = (7 INT's * 2) is 14 - TD total of 33) gives him a -19 difference, which is amazing.

	                 TD	INT	Difference
Brett Favre MIN 33	7	-19
Aaron Rodgers GB 30	7	-16
Drew Brees NO 34	11	-12
Philip Rivers SD 28	9	-10
Tony Romo DAL 26	9	-8
Donovan McNabb PHI 22	10	-2
Roethlisberger PIT 26	12	-2
Tom Brady NE 28	13	-2
Peyton Manning IND 33	16	-1
Eli Manning NYG 27	14	1
Matt Schaub HOU 29	15	1
Kurt Warner ARI 26	14	2
Kyle Orton DEN 21	12	3
Joe Flacco BAL 21	12	3
Carson Palmer CIN 21	13	5
Matt Ryan ATL 22	14	6
Jason Campbell WAS 20	15	10
Jay Cutler CHI 27	26	25

Tom Brady has had I think it was 7 seasons where he's thrown 2:1 TD to INT or one or two shy of meeting that criteria. Which, is very good.

Wow, that many QBs had double the TDs than they had INTs. Weird. Last year was great for Quarterbacks.

lol I said the same thing. I had to check it again to make sure I didn't look at the wrong column for TD's and INT's.

Edit, 7 out of the 10 QB's who threw for more than 20 TD's in '08 had a 2:1 or better TD to INT ratio.

Edit2, 4 out of the 13 QB's who threw for more than 20 TD's in '07 had a 2:1 or better TD to INT ratio.

Vat?

Tom Brady is arguably the best player of the 00s.

Brady didn't have the luxury of elite WRs until 2007, then in 2007, he puts up the best season ever by a QB. He would have been unstoppable in 2008 and the Patriots were favored to win the SB for a reason. Then he got his knee torn. Then he came back in 2009 and got Comeback Player of the Year with 28 TDs and 4300+ yards.

One thing I liked seeing was Brady continually making an ass out of Peyton Manning every time they face each other. Manning will try to force things, throw lots of INTs, and Brady would play cool and win the game.

Brady's SB performances aren't up to par with Joe Montana (no one came close), but there were pretty good, except for '07 when the Giants put him on his ass the whole game. That was the one time I saw Brady lose his cool.

Dang you Dickey, I was holding Carroll in reserve. With 93z, one needs all the ammo available.

However I do like your thoughts on warding off the evil spirits. I shall remember that technique the next time that my daughter-in-law shows up at my home wearing that disgusting #85 Greg Jennings jersey.

OK, back to Profiles of great moments in Packers draft history.....

1981 - Rich Campbell, QB - Packer #1 Draft pick, selected sixth overall
(taken before Ronnie Lott, Mike Singletary, Mark May)

Out of the University of California, Rich Campbell was a college All-American. Despite a knee injury that cut short his senior season, Campbell passed for 7,174 yards in his college career. It was a school record at the time and is still fourth-best in Cal history.

Selected as a can't-miss pick, Campbell was a major disappointment with the Packers. He appeared in only seven games over four years, completing 31 of 68 passes for 386 yards, with 3 touchdowns and 9 interceptions, His career quarterback rating was a whopping 38.8. A religious-studies major in college, Campbell entered a seminary after leaving the Packers and became a Baptist minister.

Forrest Gregg thought Rich Campbell was going to be the Green Bay Packers' quarterback of the future. Campbell's utter failure certainly helped along Gregg's resignation three years later.

I forgot one to add to this list...

Darrion Scott, 3rd round 2004 Draft

BTW.. how the hell does a scumbag like this get a second chance in the NFL?

http://www.startribune.com/local/west/24008709.html?location_refer=Vikings

A former Minnesota Vikings player admitted that putting a plastic dry cleaning bag over his 2-year-old son's head was "stupid and reckless" and pleaded guilty Monday to child endangerment.

Darrion Scott, 26, entered the plea on the day that jury selection was scheduled to begin for felony third-degree assault and domestic assault by strangulation following the April 28 incident at his Eden Prairie townhouse.

According to the criminal complaint, the boy's mother heard the child's muffled cries and found Scott, 6 feet 3 inches and 290 pounds, holding the bag over the boy's head. She said that the boy was on his back on the floor, his legs kicking, and that Scott was holding the bag tightly around the boy's neck.
