Greg Bedard of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that court records indicate an intention by prosecutors to attempt to prove at trial that Johnny "bought, sold, funded, transported and aided in the buying, selling, funding and transportation of illegal narcotics including cocaine and marijuana" from 2006 through May 2008.

question: if this turns out to be true, would you want him around? I take a kind of pride in the fact that im a fan of a team that's so "friendly" and not full of hoodlums (see half of NFL)

Hell friggen no. As it stands I'm already wavering on whether to support him or cut our losses.

Sadly enough it's beginning to look like the dude is going to end up in the big house.
As time progresses this could turn into a huge distraction, something this young team could do without.
I think the Packers should cut their losses and get this behind them before training camp opens.

On the bright side, if there was one position this can happen to, the D-line is the one. Without Jolly we still have our starting 3 with Jenkins, Raji, and Pickett. No doubt he would of been our best backup out of the gate but i'm really looking forward to the 2 rookies, especially Neal.
And I know it's a long shot but so far there's been good reports about Harrell's health and attendance.
We are born naked, wet and hungry. Then things get worse.

Well lets be honest here.. after 18 months or whatever it is up to.. the best the prosecution can come up with in terms of evidence is a convicted criminals word?

Personally... I hold the belief that the prosecution is trying to make a name for themselves with this case.. and by record to date.. they have and it isn't impressive.

That said... Jolly what in the hell were you thinking? Freaking roundhead.

Even if he beats these charges.. I want the NFL to come down hard on this kid.. 4, 8, 16 game rip.. so be it. Wake his ass up.

And yes.. this is a distraction already.. look at the movement in preparation already made. Mature already.

I'm withholding my judgment until he's proven guilty by the judicial system. If it turns out he was in fact guilty of these allegations then perhaps it would be best to move on. Otherwise, I hope to see him stay around. Dude can play. I hope all of this turns out not to be a big deal because losing Jolly would hurt, at least for a year or so.

If we truly want to be a contender.. we need a solid 4 to 6 man rotation on the line.. where they take on doubles in this alignment.

Fact is, we are a much better team with his talent than not... but the knucklehead couldn't keep his nose clean. Literally.

From the full context that I've read about this ... I'm going to have to hold my name calling ... for now. I don't want to make myself a hypocrite and bash someone before confirmed guilty. It sure isn't looking good though. Even if the charges are just trumped up, it has already made Jolly look bad.

If the DA's evidence holds up, I'm of the opinion that Jolly has the mental capacity of Nate Newton. I don't want drug dealers playing for the Green Bay Packers.

Now, a person using a substance to get high should be given a second opportunity to clean up, but absolutely has to be on a short leash. If teams don't give second opportunities, the NFL loses out on a guy like Chris Carter. Kiss my ass Formo, I didn't compliment a Viking, he was the only one I could think of.
