I had no idea Bulaga was even in the game, in that case I loved Bulaga's performance.

Yes the veteran would be better, but it sounded like the vet did struggle a bit today against a poor pass rush from the bills. If healthy I would vote for clifton, but its nice to see Bulaga step up and know we can go to him if needed.

I heard they yanked Cliffy in the 2nd, so it would be interesting to see how much that coincided with the Packers pulling their heads out of their asses on offense.
Here is another consideration, Cliffy's current contract is based heavily on incentives, vis a vis starting and achieving playing time escalators, iirc.

I don't think that incentives are a factor when they are trying to win a game. Tinfoil hat theory.

But if Bulaga is only slightly less effective than Clifton (fully healthy), they might let the young guy continue to start instead.

True. They'll play whichever guy gives them the best chance to win.

I don't think Clifton has the quickness / athleticism to guard Peppers anymore. I would almost trust Bulaga more than him.

I noticed today that Peppers was playing on the other side (where Tauscher would be). Does he switch it up?

I am not so sure Bulaga will play next week against Peppers.

The Bears game is on Monday night, so Clifton will have some extra time to heal up. I'd prefer a vet in Cliffy facing Peppers than a rookie in Bulaga, all things being equal.

True, but that doesn't stop the media from speculating. Though I rather have a healthy Bulaga out there. Clifton can't get it done when he's limited like he's been. It's going to be interesting how the fronts play in the game. I think that's the key to the game.

Zero2Cool (9-May) : Packers have claimed DE Spencer Waege off of waivers from the 49ers and waived DT Rodney Mathews.
