Veteran players contract becomes guaranteed if they are on the roster week one, right? So, if you sign a veteran week four, does their contract become guaranteed? If not, I'd give Antonio Brown a chance after week one.

And if he can't play the first 8 weeks, in theory it'd make sense for him to wait to see where teams are in week 6 to week 8.

As teams might get a key injury and be willing to offer him more, or they might be 2-6 record and less interested in signing with them, assuming you got options.

Of course this is all assuming you're thinking straight.... or thinking period for that matter.

But of course, he probably still thinks he's worth huge amounts of money, and so even if not thinking, might not rush into a low budget offer.
