It'd nice to have a running game that could consistently easily pick up 3rd and 1 3rd and 2. Being forced to pass in that situation can get annoying.

Would like to be able to say "3rd and 2 meh lets punch this in and get back to work" we are consistently stuffed in those situations.

And he won't be playing for free, so what salary cost? Looking at his current contract, I just don't think it's worth the cash, nor the pick to have Marshawn Lynch on a Mike McCarthy offense with Aaron Rodgers in his prime. I like Lynch, just don't think the position ranks high in priorities for the Packers.

Not HAVING to pass, but being able to use a fake handoff for a big gain would be sweet. But if the D doesn't respect the run, you can't fool them.

Bart Starr used to do that ALL the time. Play action on 3rd and one, and usually got a big gain.
