I hate getting the bye before week 8. It's comes at a great time this year.

The timing of the bye week can make a huge difference in the regular season. Every year, a couple of unlucky teams have their bye in Week 4. That means for those teams to win a championship, they have to play 16 weeks in a row followed by a two-week gap to the Super Bowl.
In that situation, the hope is they earn a first-round bye. But even then, that team has to win consistently and play 13 weeks in a row before finally getting a week off.
Since 2013, the Packers have had their bye in Week 4 twice. Yet this is the first time they’ve had a bye as late as Week 11. A week off is beneficial at any point in the season, but more so later on.

I agree. A rest at this point in the season is perfect. And being as we are relatively healthy is great. Also gives Davante Adams a chance to catch his breath after only a couple weeks back from injury.

I agree, I hate early byes and never understood why they have them so early...
Also when talking about the schedule and how they could make more money, I suggested two bye weeks equals extra week of games (Yes Zero2Cool, I remember you absolutely hate the idea)...
But with that I suggested everyone has one early and one later... instead of some teams seemingly getting them at the same time every year. Which ai had wondered if the team owner strongly requested or something.
But yeah some of the byes timing has seemed horrible.
