I haven't heard any talk of the Pack trading up in the draft. But I highly doubt they would do a drastic trade into the top ten. But I was shocked they did with CW3 which turned out well.
I agree that this is one of the deepest drafts in a long time. There are alot of depth at some positions but not all like RB. I like Thompson's best available player strategy for the first round.
One of the worst trades I can remember was when Mike Ditka was with the Saints and basically traded everything for Ricky Williams. So they all don't work as well as it did for the Jet's.

The Vikings showed how to do it, much as I hated to say. You do what you can do to improve your team, draft, free agency, trades. I wish Ted wasn't so 1 dimensional. Not to bad mouth him, I think he is doing a good job but could do better.

Agreed. It takes all avenues to succeed. You just have to want to be willing.

Edit- I just looked at the current active roster.

The only trades in the past 3 years have been Grant and Derrick Martin. The only free agent of substance was Chillar.

It is time for Ted to show that he is willing to go out and put the finishing touch on. I though the team was ready for that move after 07'. Except our starting QB retired so that in my mind blew that chance. Now we are close again. The hard part is FA is going to suck balls this year.

Ted needs to do something though. Trade or FA to move this team to the next level. Or we are also go to hit a point where the draft will do nothing but maintain.
