Ok...jets cut him.

Would it be skeptical to think of the Pack trying to sign him for a year...yes he old but he could be an improvement?

No, not Thompson. Big name, too expensive -- until July maybe, then the price might go down to the Thompson Dusty Dollars level.

But the person who probably calls this one is McCarthy, and I doubt McCarthy would want him.

Just my theory.

Yeah not much interest here. He'd make alot more then our guards and would only slow development, even if he is a upgrade for a year or 2.
With young bucks like Bulaga and Lang, along with spitz and sitton, I wouldnt mind seeing a lineup that sticks together for a couple years. Kind of like the good ol days of Rivera, Wahle, Flanagan, Tausch, cant think of the 5th right now.

I don't even know how much of an upgrade he'd be at this point of his career.

Now, don't get me wrong, Faneca is one of the all-time greats at his position, but he has been declining pretty badly. Especially in his pass blocking skills. That's not exactly something we can use.

And then we have a pretty good group inside who could use the reps as a team, without a stop-gap player, to become a cohesive and gelled unit.

I'll give you a hint. The 5th one is the starting LT for the Green Bay Packers.

I hope our young OL players develop into good starters and we can keep Cliffy and Tausch as solid backups for our SB run.

This reminds me of the Bears picking up Orlando Pace, who was once a great Olinemen. He was a huge huge huge bust in Chicago, and they had to play him. Just HAD to.

We're good. We drafted 2Oline this year on a line that improved over the year.

Faneca, no. Gaither, however, is still available. I'd pull that trigger...

beast (2-Aug) : I believe it's technically against the CBA rules, but Jerry just calls it a simple unofficial chat... and somehow gets away with it.
beast (2-Aug) : Jerry Jones is infamous for ̶n̶e̶g̶o̶t̶i̶a̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ chatting with players one on one... and going around the agent.
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Oo just saw a blurb saying that Dallas negotiated directly with Parsons and not through his agent
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I assumed that both guys will get paid, just a matter of when or how we get there
Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : McLaurin nor Micah going anywhere. They will get money

Mucky Tundra (30-Jul) : Zero, regarding Ewers, you are correct.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Sadly, this might be our life for awhile. I could put it on another host, but seems it was slower, although more stable

dfosterf (30-Jul) : All I've experienced was late at night or early morning. I just figured you were doing something in the background
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site sure seems to be down more than up
dfosterf (29-Jul) : 50 cent hookers? I'm moving to Green Bay. I thought it was just real estate that was more affordable there. 😂
