That and to watch Formo flip his on / off switch back to off with regards to his admiration of Brett. 😉

As many have said, nothing came from Brett that we heard, so it's all hearsay. What we are enjoying is the circus that does not center in Green Bay, WI this time around. :)

And as I've said many times before, I don't like how the media jumps the gun on things. On the radio. Marcellis Wiley? kept saying Brett retired. I thought, wha?? no he didn't. Why say that stuff? Does it make him look bad when Brett shows up? No, it makes Brett look even MORE indecisive than he already is. No one will remember Wiley saying Brett retired August 3rd, 2010. They'll just remember they heard a guy on the radio state Brett retired, again.

I still think it's funny ... because it doesn't directly involve the Packers. :)

Visanthe Shiancoe story

Tight-end Visanthe Shiancoe said he learned of the messages by talking to several teammates, though he had not received any direct messages from Favre.

He told a couple guys on our team hes going to retire, Shiancoe said after practice on Tuesday evening. He hasnt told me, but Im going to check my phone.

Either Vistanthe is lying or Brett is

And we all know how truthful Brett is

There never was an 'on-off' switch, my dood. Objectivity, my friend.

In fact, I just have the luxury to say "I told you so" to you guys and any Viking fan (VR) that opposed Favre joining the team. He actually WAS an improvement and like I said the Vikings didn't have any other option outside of T-Jack. Last I checked.. they still don't have another option behind T-Jack (well.. if you can call Sage an option, that's fine.. Either way, Favre > T-Jack & Sage).

Right now, no they have very few options, Jeff George?

If Brett does retire, he should have (for the Vikings sake) done so before the draft. That would have allowed the Vikings to scout QB's and also perhaps land someone like McNabb or Campbell. I think Jason would have been a good fit for the Vikings team.

By not saying anything, the Vikings are admitting they are okay with putting all their eggs into one basket. If they had drafted a QB in the first round, don't hesitate to think Brett wouldn't have been bothered. One of his biggest fears, to this very day, is being replaced. He claims it's one of the things that kept him on the field through pain and injuries.

Since when do the Vikings have a quarterback as their top priority in the draft? They passed on Rodgers twice and this year the passed on both Clausen and Colt McCoy. And even if they did draft a young quarterback prospect, who on their coaching staff is going to develop him: Chilly, Bevell, please! I know Chilly takes credit for Donovan McNabb, but come on, Andy Reid put in the time there.

I PM'd VR on this right after the draft and we agreed that not taking Clausen was another draft day mistake.

I've said this before, I'll say it again.. The Vikings would have NEVER drafted Clausen. They had almost zero interest in him. Whether or not that's the right mindset.. only time will tell.

Viking fans need to pull their heads out of Clausen's arse. If he become's a Pro Bowl QB, THEN we can be pissy about passing on him.

I would have liked to see the Vikings pick a QB in the draft this last year.. but it wasn't in the cards. Lo and behold, next year's draft is supposedly going to be deeper in the QB dept. I think that was the mindset of the Vikings brass.
