I'll add to that, not necessarily on the 3rd down play calling, but any down, and more so on the pre snap set. I HATE the empty back field. I mean, Fing give it away why don't you. We need to do more movement that screws the defense, not that gives out intentions away.

the only way I like the empty back field is if our receivers are clearing the field for Rodgers to run (which works well with a few deep routes). Otherwise, leave an RB in.

We need to employ good blocking receivers in motion around the LOS for run plays AND we need to design some plays that totally look like Run only to have Finley and Jennings spreading the field. Give me a 2 TE package, with both Finley and Quarless chip blocking and running routes... I'd like to see that.

yes however with 5 receivers on the line the defense will not be able to cover everybody for very long. It is a great chance to move the chains.

I don't hate the empty backfield. The Patriots used it all the time effectively. Kevin Faulk would be back there then he'd go into motion and become a WR.

I wouldn't mind us doing the same thing with Brandon Jackson. He's a decent receiver. Why not use him as our Kevin Faulk?

I do like your 2 TE package as well. But why limit our options?

I don't know what that statistics are but I have felt that Rodgers has completed a number of passes to the left while rolling out right. JMO

I think he has been succesful in general when rolling to the right period. But alot of the succes is when he hits finley on a crossing pattern, and i think our opponents should start figuring that play out soon.

+1. Exactly what I was thinking. I LOVE the rollouts because they have been so productive this year. Finley has been getting amazing separation because of the play action and I love to see us extend that side of the field with our WR going deep, thus taking the safety leaving J-Fin in single or no coverage.

Oh yeah, and Aaron can run out of it

Another thing with the rollouts is that it can help with the vision of the field when you have lineman that have broken knees and can't chop block lineman down from batting passes.

I would like to see Aaron roll out a little more of a round pattern. Not so flat so he really can put pressure on LBers and DBs to decide what to pla pass or run. Choose suckers.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!
