How's this for a disturbing trend: early in the second half, Aaron Rodgers had 7 straight incompletions.

I am certain that 3 or 4 of them were the result of drops, dating back to the end of the 2nd Q.

Yes, that is true, but it's virtually irrelevant as far as I'm concerned. Whether it's bad throws by Rodgers or (primarily) drops by wide receivers, this offense is failing to complete a lot of passes. That is the disturbing trend to which I am referring.

I'm amazed Rodgers' overall completion percentage is still as high as it is.

Referring to an execution thing, gotcha.

I read an interesting comment that criticized McCarthy for not running enough given the cover-2 scheme the Skins played most of the day.

I would love to watch a replay of this game, because so many different avenues of blame are emerging. Which in and of itself is alarming, but I think there has to be some more pointed reasons as to what has been a total lack of competence in putting points on the board. It's not that we are not moving the ball (well, in the 2nd half that is also an issue) but it's we simply cannot turn drives into points.

Disturbing, Rodgers has thrown for more than 10,000 in his career.

You do realize if you were to watch the Highlight video, or heck, even open the thread you'd see two links to download the entire game, right? :physassult:

That came out wrong; you certainly offer excellent features for a fan (that particular one I am aware of).

My thesis is due in December. It is like my baby, and everything I have goes into that first and foremost. I just cannot take the time out right now to watch replays of the game in depth.

I don't have any confidence in Rodgers in the two-minute drill either. He is getting to the point in his career where he should have a few last-minute wins under his belt. At times he's been betrayed by the defense, and at times by the O-line (which was a big factor in this one), but I think he is overdue to make a big play with the game on the line. That win against the Bears in the 2009 opener is the only one like that I can remember.

Also, I thought in the final drive of regulation he erred by not getting out of bounds after his scramble for the first down. That forced the Packers to burn up their last time out. With another 5-10 yards, they would've had a much more makable field goal.

Bah. Your thesis isn't that important. Just attach a wad of Benjamins to it and hand it a poorly written paper. Besides, you're in Canada. Your Profs will see American money attached and get giddier than a girl who just had her first kiss.
