I know exactly nothing about the Jaguars...but wasn't he starting for them? And, they gave him up for a 7th? Do they know something Green Bay doesn't?

That Smith doesn't fit well in a 4 -3 as he does a 3 - 4 he has a few years experience in?

Well, it can't hurt. And with a hothead like Derrick Martin on the roster Smith should fit right in.

Low risk move. I like it. Too bad no other RBs are available. I doubt Oakland wold be willing to part with Bush or McFadden, but those guys are both better than B Jack.

My understanding is that Oakland's willing to trade anyone they've got this time around. I imagine they want way too much for either Bush or McFadden, but if the reports are true, both are available.

I like it. They needed help @ safety, the guy knows the system as well or better than anyone else they'd bring in, and a conditional 7th is a good price. Well done, IMO.

This guy must be the only dude in NFL history who was signed, cut, and traded for by a team.

Smith was originally cut at the end of camp last year right?

Yes. I remember a lot of us thinking it was a head scratcher because he looked pretty decent that preseason. Hope he can fill in for the rest of the year, provide...something, anything, back there.

is this the same dude last year that had almost everyone here going WTF? because in the preseason he had 2 INTS and looked pretty good for a newguy.

We talked about it could be his attitude or whatever but were never sure why he got cut. But then we saw the fanakle (made up word) of what happened once bigby went down and we had a few different safetys trying to play and causing us to lose games.

Nice pick up even if bigby will be alright ... we never know.

that was a dumb move last year by Ted Thompson ... obviously the dude is alright if he was going to start for the jags.

get freaking peprah off the field

Everyone on this board pleads for Ted Thompson to sign someone when a player gets hurt or isn't good enough. But now that he has brought in someone who is familiar with what we do, and is healthy and ready to play, you grill him for it.

Good trade, hopefully it only costs us a 5-7 round pick.

errr - not sure if you are refering to smith and everyone as everyone but No way man ...

many of us wanted smith to make it last season he would of at least been a decent backup to bigby last year and as we all know it we needed it.

peprah and rouse and cough bush I wouldnt mind never seen in green in gold again ...

smith ... ya like to see how he does on our team ...
I thought he earned a roster spot lat year.

Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : and because it's not a dynasty league (which makes a lot more sense to be ability to trade picks)
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Oh I know; I was just exploring and it blew my mind that you could trade picks because of the whole reordering thing
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Zero, I think I preferred my offer: your 1st for my 15th rounder
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : Keep in mind, we do a draft reorder once all members locked in

Martha Careful (2-Aug) : Congratulations Sterling Sharpe. He was terrific and I loved watching him play.
beast (2-Aug) : I believe it's technically against the CBA rules, but Jerry just calls it a simple unofficial chat... and somehow gets away with it.
beast (2-Aug) : Jerry Jones is infamous for ̶n̶e̶g̶o̶t̶i̶a̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ chatting with players one on one... and going around the agent.
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Oo just saw a blurb saying that Dallas negotiated directly with Parsons and not through his agent
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I assumed that both guys will get paid, just a matter of when or how we get there
Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : McLaurin nor Micah going anywhere. They will get money

beast (30-Jul) : RIP site 😭
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site will die, I have to restart it.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Quinn stinks. Lot of underthrows. (my guess)
