http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/11/02/caterer-says-favre-wasnt-happy-with-randys-food-rant/

Since we've already devoted plenty of space today to the latest chapter in the soap opera that has become the life and times of Randy Moss, here's another one.

As we explained earlier today, Michael Silver of Yahoo! Sports reported that Moss acted like the part of the horse onto which a saddle isn't placed when a catered meal was made available to the players after Friday's practice. The owner of the restaurant that provided the food, Gus Tinucci, has corroborated the account, both to the St. Paul Pioneer Press and on ESPN.

"That player was pretty well right on with what he said," Tinucci told Robert Flores.

Tinucci also has shared a tidbit that sheds the first light on the possible reaction of quarterback Brett Favre to the release of Moss.

"If Favre would have had a ball, he would have beaned him right in the head. Favre looked at him like, 'Are you kidding me?'" Tinucci told the Pioneer Press.

We'll find out more regarding Favre's reaction to the decision to cut Moss when the quarterback meets with the media on Wednesday. And Favre can go a long way toward burying the hatchet with coach Brad Childress by providing a candid assessment of Randy's antics on and off the field -- and by explaining that no team can be successful with a guy like that around.

Brett, careful for what you wish for.

Funny thing you said this. I used to hate Ted and one of my criticisms was his people skills suck.

Now I'm a Ted supporter and realizing that his people skills may be better than I realized. He did interview Moss. Maybe Moss didn't pass his psychological assessment. We used to joke about the "Packer people" saying but looking back at it, maybe that's a better idea than we realize.

Packers wanted a 2 year contract with Moss. Moss wanted a one and done time to cash in contract. That's why he didn't land with Green Bay. Unless Andrew Brandt is screwing with us.

well whatever the case may be, thank goodness he's not in GB, and I'm trusting that Ted will stay away.

I'm a big Ted supporter. I regard his pursuit of Moss as a strike against him. However, I am thankful that he set a limit on how far he would go to get Moss, and he stuck to it. If Moss had come to Green Bay, it would've been on Ted's terms, not Randy's. And Moss wanted nothing to do with that. He also didn't like the idea that Donald Driver is the leader of the WRs.

I would rather a 2 year contract than a one year contract myself. I think that's just smart GM play. If it was a free agent, I would disagree, but since we were giving up a 4th round draft pick, it makes complete sense that we'd want more than one year out of a player being acquired for said pick.

Maybe hed he come here, he would have grown up and not acted like a spoiled brat.
I doubt it, but it COULD have happened.

Favre has been able to basically do and say whatever the hell he wants in Minnesota. Moss was probably just trying to fit in with his new team.

beast (8-Aug) : But the Packers would have to use one for their return from IR spots on him, when they cut down to 53.
beast (8-Aug) : I think the NFL recently changed the IR rules, so maybe the season might not be over for OL Glover.
