During his Friday appearance on The Dan Patrick Show, NFL Network's Rich Eisen shared a great story about the NFL's freshly-unveiled Top 100 list.

According to Eisen, NFLN's Warren Sapp was upset that he didn't make the list. His colleague, Michael Irvin, was trying to comfort the perennial Pro Bowl player.

And then Irvin, who came in at No. 92, was told by NFLN producers that he landed on the list behind Chad Ochocinco.

That prompted Irvin to forget all about Sapp and to begin loudly protesting the placement of Ochocinco at a higher spot on the list than Irvin.

Irvin then was told that it was a joke.

I wouldn't put Chad ahead of Irvin either. I read it and thought, wtf, what? But alas, it's a joke ... a damn funny one too.

Deion Sanders whined on air "what am i gonna tell my kids man, when they see me at 34, what am i gonna tell them" ... 34th in the entire NFL history is pretty damn good. But, if he must have an answer as to what to tell his kids. I suggest teaching them how to tackle and tell them not to be afraid to tackle and MAYBE you'll get a higher placement in the next top 100 than 34th.

Irvin in the top 100 players of all-time? Surely they jest.

Who writes these things? I bet if PH as a group put together a top-100 list, it would be better than this list.

They had me going there. I can see why Irvin was mad.

I'm not surprised he's on the list. I hated him, but he was one of the top two or three wideouts in the league for several years, and he was clutch.

I heard Sanders crying but with him I never know if he's being serious or just eccentric for fun

I believe Irvin is a top 100 player. I think they placed him as the rightful spot. He's in that 80-100 range. Dallas was a running football team with an amazing offensive line, so Irvin wasn't used as much as he would've been in Green Bay's offense for example.

With that said, I do have problems with the list. Shannon Sharpe deserves to be on there and Walter Jones' omission is sickening.

Deion should also be higher, but not No. 4 like he said. He's not better than Ronnie Lott IMO, but he's probably the No. 2 CB of all-time. His cover skills have been unmatched in this league.
