OK - we didn't punt much last night. Only twice, actually, but Tim did a good job: first punt was a 44-yarder (to the 7) that Dez Bryant returned for 4 yards. Second one was a 55-yarder (to the 17) where Dez fumbled and Collins scored.

Dez Bryant's a pretty good returner, too. I guess this qualifies as a second "strong showing"...

What made the 55-yarder so impressive was that it had good hang time and was near the sideline. A low 55-yarder down the middle is a bad punt because then the returner can build up a head of steam before the gunners can get to him.

Eh, yeah. His coverage has been bad in previous years but his ST play this year has been good borderline great. So being buried at CB has stopped showing his weaknesses while allowing him to shine at the position he is being paid for, ST.

Statistically, our special teams our only ahead of the Giants so far this year; were second from bottom in terms of Special Teams play. I don't mind Jarret Bush on the team or on ST - he is very versatile - but it is nice to see him not mess up as often as he has before.

Penalties have gone down across the board. This has caused less re-kicks, added positive yards, and the offense to not be backed up even further by penalties before getting a play off.

As you eluded to our ST has so far not given up the "big play." Save Hester's return the ST has not allowed a game changing play which speaks volumes compared to last year's team which gave up good field position to the opposition and backed up our offense due to aforementioned penalties.

Another thing overlooked is turnovers. I know the Girls aren't exactly the cream of the crop but those two turnovers were big plays by the ST, more specifically Bush.

As long as the Packers ST is not allowing a big play or giving up yardage because of penalties then they are an improvement.
