Ok this is what I see happening, we will beat the Lions and 49ers, lose to the Pats.

Now the last 2 games of the year I think will be a toss up.

Now we get to the Giants game, lets take a look at this without the homer glasses.

1st the game will be played at the end of december and a late game which means it should be very cold. So now the part that scares me is with it being cold the passing games for both teams will be hampered. So we look at the running game and the Giants have a very strong advantage there. I know I know we have Rodgers and he don't need a running game, well the Giants front 4 are very tough to block and can get pressure with just 4. The last point I want to make is this could be a game where the winner has a leg up on the final wildcard spot. With all that being said I think we get a late turnover against Eli and Crosby gets to win one for us at the gun.

Now for the Bears game.

See most of the above about the time of year and weather but this time it will hamper both teams. I have to give the Bears the nod on the running game. I hate to say this but from what I seen yesterday I have to give the Bears the edge on defense also. They also have a huge advantage in the special teams and this is what I see doing us in. I see Hester giving the Bears easy scoring chances just from us trying to keep it away from him.

So I hope we get some help and are able to slip into that final wildcard spot and get the advantage of going to a climate control place so we can make a run to the Big game. I don't see this team as being built for football in Green Bay at the end of the year. Remember the Holmgren years we had 2 good backs that were built for power and not speed. We have Jackson and maybe Starks. Here is how I hope it all plays out. We get the winner of the west (thinking the Rams) and then we get the rematch with the Falcons and then we get the Saints at home.

Just my thoughts
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

Plus 1 for the in depth analysis on the last two games. It is damn good analysis and shows that you do indeed know the game.

However. I feel the Packers will win out the rest of the season.

The reasons are simple in my mind.

I feel the Packers loss to the Falcons IN ATLANTA is a building point for the extra inch of mental effort to come together as a team. Call this game a check up from the neck up if you will.

I feel the Packers route to the Superbowl is going to get some major Karma. It has to happen, they are due.... and there will be upsets in the NFC Playoffs. Heretofore it is not impossible the Packers will have an easier road to the Superbowl that it looks like it is lining up now.

Thirdly...

If the Mayan calendar is right there is only two more Super Bowls to be played before the world ends. It is only fitting they win the last two. After all they won the first two.

It wasn't our running back anyway. It was our kick returner, who happens to be a cornerback.

Optimist in me thinks team should be able to run the table, or at worst go 4-1 (lose to NE).

Pessimist in me thinks team could lose 4 of 5. Wouldn't be surprised if lost one of SF and Detroit. And whatever else you say about the Gints, they can on a given day bring a lot of pass rush. (And they've put out more starting QBs this year than the Packer have put out HCs). Chicago is not at a given, even though the Bears still suck. And NE at NE. That's the most likely loss of all.

So I'll compromise and say:
SF, Detroit, Chicago win 2 out of 3.
NE and NY win 1 of 2.
so, best guess Pack goes 3-2 the rest of the way.

Oh, yes...and if the NFC north comes down to who wins that last game....I'll go with Rodgers over Cutler in a laugher (31-6).

I was checking the standings as we stand right now and we are out of the playoffs.

As of right now we have the same record as the Giants and Bucs with the Giants having the last wildcard. Looking at the schedules we need to win 4 of the 5 remaining games.

Here is what the Giants have left (they control their own destiny even with the NFC East championship

Home vs Washington
at Minn
Home Eagles
at Gb
at Wash

So I see them with 3 very easy games and like I stated earlier the game against us will be very important

Now the sleepers, The Buccaneers

Home Atl (they lost on a goal line stand last game in ATL)
at Wash
Home Detroit
Home Seattle
at New Orleans

So once again 3 easy games for them

Just thought I could point these out.

I think people are making too much of the Pats.. I mean they have an offense which isn't a dominate one and that defense isn't what it once was.

The Giants have a pass rush that can cause our pass happy offense some problems, however with the injuries on their offense.. that might not be as bad as some think.

Lions.. play tough.. find a way to lose.

The 49ers are limited on offense and can be had on defense.. I like that matchup for the Pack.

The Bears are the wildcard. which Cutler do you get? Very good defense..

I the Packers can play like they have the last several weeks.. I think we will be in every game and probably take 4 out of 5.
