This the kind of back we need, positive yards per carry and no tap dancing at the L.O.S. Would like to see what he brings in the passing game as well. If he pans out, it will be kind of interesting to see what we do next season with Grant and BJackson.

Grant could be the odd man out. He can't even catch as well as Bjack, and isn't the 3rd down pass pro guy.
The best thing about this is that I don't have to hear people say, "He hasn't taken a hit in two years," anymore. Excruciating.

I was very impressed. He has more of a Ryan Grant style of running--hits the hole hard and runs high--which seems like the perfect fit for this offense. He looks smaller than Grant but he may have more breakaway potential. He came very close to breaking a long one today. He was hitting himself on the head after the play. He knew he almost had it.

Our RB rotation for the rest of the season should now be set: Starks as the main ball carrier, Jackson on third downs, and Kuhn when we only need a yard. The rotation was very effective today against a pretty good run defense.

Runs a little too high.

It's not fundamentally sound, but it works for Adrian Peterson.

I actually compared him to AP when we drafted Starks.

Not a runner to the outside at all, but solid runner up the middle.

"Finley88Beast" wrote:

Well we didn't run him to the outside much i only seen us hand him off outside like once or twice but he defiantly runs well in between the tackles.

"nerdmann" wrote:

Dude runs a 4.5 40. He can get to the outside.

"Finley88Beast" wrote:

Ya ik he can the packers don't seem to run to the outside much anyways so in the future he could be a threat to the outside.

Very interesting. Didn't he look smaller than Grant? I'm not complaining. When a guy looks smaller than he really is, that often means that he is a very good athlete. That's my own theory, so take it for what it's worth.

Well, I hope so, By my count, he ran wide only once today and was stopped for no gain. I was just happy that he ran well between the tackles. The Packers have been mostly a straight ahead running team for a lot of years now anyway, with Ryan Grant and Ahman Green.

Green had speed before age caught up with him. He could get outside. Rare combo of speed and power.
Starks might be similar in size to Grant, but that's where the comparisons end. He's way quicker, way shiftier and can catch the ball.
