Says he wants to play for a contender... Did somebody say "Green Bay Packers"? hahaha

1) I thought the wall was already broken down after how this year transpired.

2) I thought he was going to retire at the end of this year...either way, he's 38, how much more tread is on the tires?!?

1) I was just being a smart-ass. It was more about the Packers being contenders and he Vikings not than a call for us to sign him. I don't think he brings anything to the table for our team.
2) He kimd of back tracked on those intentions earlier this season. I don't expect he has much left at all.

Kevin is still a good player, but for at least last season it looked like Pat was running on fumes. The Williams Wall as we know it is dead even if he returns to the Vikings.

Oh yeah.. More rumor mongering by PFT. Wish I knew the OP's comments were on a PFT 'article', then I wouldn't have even clicked the link.

As far as he's only willing to play for a contender comments.. I haven't seen a quote on that (from Pat). I was pretty certain that he was wanting to end his career in Minny and that this last year would have been his last.

So all this only playing for a contender and being a free agent is news to me..
