It seemed like Aikman and Buck were a little off their game tonight. Here's what I noticed:

1. They were very slow to give us information about the injuries to Woodson, Shields, and Driver. I suppose that wasn't their fault, but still, they downplayed the significance of the injuries. Instead, they kept showing the Steelers' injured center standing on the sidelines.

2. At one point, Aikman said that the Packer defense hadn't "missed a beat" when Woodson got hurt. Huh? The Woodson injury (combined with the Shields injury) radically changed the whole tone of the game.

3. In the fourth quarter, Aikman said that Rodgers was missing a lot of throws that he normally makes. I only noticed two or three. He played great.

4. When the Packers got their big stop on fourth and five, Aikman and Buck sullied the moment by claiming that it was pass interference. They admitted their mistake when they saw the replay, but I still thought it was weird. I was jumping up and down celebrating and Aikman and Buck were claiming that the officials blew a call when it didn't look that way at all to me. It was Aikman and Buck who blew the call at a historic moment.

Anyway: Aikman and Buck were our good luck charm. They were with us for all six of these wins to end the season. So I can't complain too much.

I was thinking the same thing throughout the game Greg.

A lot of things were off in the game. The Nathional Anthem was a bust. the half time show horrible. Troy and Joe show poor.

But the outcome was great.

Half-time show was actually really well done, I thought. Then again, I'm more into the hip-hop genre.

I honestly did not pay much attention to Joe and Troy tonight. While watching, I was just too focused on the action, and trying to see as much of the action outside of the QB throwing as I could.

A couple of other weird things:

1. That Viking player who won that award was wearing a green #4 jersey when they showed him in Iraq just before kickoff. What was THAT all about?

2. When they showed Alex Rodriguez watching the game with his girlfriend, she put a piece of popcorn in his mouth.

Same about Joe and Buck, I don't expect announcers to be perfect because we aren't very perfect until watching replays. I am glad they didn't give biased love towards either team, so as announcers for a major championship I think they did well. And I was more focused on my real time analysis to my entire family and friends at our Super Bowl party that I probably didn't notice much what they were saying.

Halftime show I actually thought would be worse. I don't enjoy Black Eye Peas' music, but I thought the outfits with the LEDs were cool.

Commercials, as much as my focus was dissecting every drive and minutia of every play, I recall that the commercials were actually quite funny, especially early in the game.

But back to topic, fine with Joe and Buck because they were part of our historic journey. They deserve rings.

I was pissed about Aikman saying that the last play was PI. It was a key moment for Packer fans everywhere and his comment was really distracting given that it really did not appear close to me in real time or replay.

Also, I am really scratching my head at the Swain incomplete still. He caught it and started to run with the ball but apparently it was "obviously" an incomplete pass according to the two stooges.

To be fair though, they obviously are a good luck charm for us considering we almost always win they are yapping so I can hit mute if necessary.

I guess I missed it when they first said it. I was too busy yelling and kissing my wife. I heard them take it back when it was replayed but I didn't care what they were saying.

And we christened the new Texas stadium in the same year we won the George Halas in Chicago. I can't wait until next year when we get the rest of our team back.

Got to give a little credit to the Steelers for hanging in there. The game really should have been a blow out had Jones and Jorde hung on to some balls that hit them in stride for what would have been huge gains if not touchdowns.

And also, Jarret Bush doesn't even have to go to training camp to be our 53rd guy. For a guy we dogged unmercifully over the years to get a pick in the Super Bowl gave me a warm feeling inside.
