Agreed Cliffy can't run block. However, there were 1 or 2 better LTs at pass blocking in the NFL in '10, tops. Cliffy did an outstanding job at protecting OUR MOST IMPORTANT PLAYER last year. That's kind of important, don't ya think?

William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

Er....am I PacMan Jones now?

Week in and out Clifton was on the injury report and being held from practices.. knees.. and has had numerous surgeries upon them in numerous seasons.. That said.. he is one tough SOB and suits up almost every week and for the most part played at a very high level in the passing game. He proved once again last season just how good of a player he has been year in and out.

I think Charles Woodson was on the injury report quite often and missed most if not all practices too ... 🙂

Even if there wasn't anything official in the report, he got days off and his reps were less than the younger guys. Clifton you could argue was closer to being the more injured player, but in the way that it counts -- missing games -- he's been a pretty consistent force for years.

The leeway the vets get has to be connected to the confidence the coaching staff has in them.

edit: just saw your post, Zero. Great minds. Great minds my friend.

Let's (Let us lol) try this again shall we.. one could view him as continuously at risk due to injuries.. for review.

Again.. one tough SOB.. and I stood in his corner last season when he was resigned.. but one can't deny that he has had his share of missed time due to injury or playing well less than 100%, yet still giving us better production than anyone else available that is for sure.
