I tried with my HD antenna which has a (allegedly) a amp boost.

I might invest in one of these.

Owned one.. marginally better than non amped.. however this solved my issues with reception in the northern sticks up here.. Radio Shack in store carries them.

Well similar... the one I bought has four prongs protruding from it in 90 degree increments.. 109 dollars minus the post..

I now pick up reception from Eau Claire, Wausau and Rhinelander well..

I get fox just fine, but NBC comes and goes at will. EXTREMELY frustrating. I was even ok before with a lottle ghost...but missing complete sentances is MADDENING!

Oh, and I live right downtown Milwaukee! Get 32 stations but NBC sucks for some reason.

Yeah.. Unless you only get cable for the NFL season. In which case.. it's only for a few months. And you'd get it in HD, uninterupted glory (NFL Network/ESPN anyone?).

That's what I'd do, if I wasn't friggin' unemployed.

I only will have the cable for 4 months, maybe 5 months a year. At 27 a clip, that's 135 each year.

So, if I can get a better alternative for less than 100, I'd probably be down for that, IF it worked.

I did a re-scan with one of my antenna's and got all my channels.

I did buy another antenna though. I'm going to try and get some HD channels in better.

http://www.antennaweb.org/aw/Stations.aspx  that site helped.

Funny.

The HDTV Antenna (MANT410) that I bought over a year or two ago ... gets all digital channels and HD if the signal is coming in HD.

Time to call an cancel cable. ;)

Edit, and to return the one I bought today, err last night.
