They didn't hear my inquire and have already given the position to someone else. My former boss who was fired two years ago. At least it wasn't a long drawn out process and it's over. I can focus on making my time here as best as possible.

Okay, I don't know what's going on with this anymore.

The buddy who is leaving, said Monday they offered the position to our former boss, someone who he's been good friends with for a few more years than I've known him. Later that day, I bump into our head of IT and he starts asking me why my buddy is leaving, is is pissed at JBS or what ... he says. I told him, he just found a better job, less hours and more pay. Then we started talking about my interest in the position and why I'd be interested. He tells me to update my resume and send it to him. I get back to my desk and I have an email from my boss telling me to throw my resume together and send it to the head of IT. Kind of a weird coincidence. The head of IT told me he'd have the person who is doing interviews contact me. Haven't heard anything since, so I just kind of took the feeling ... I made my interest known, no harm, no foul, move on.

Today, I'm asked if I can go to Green Bay for a few days to help support the plant in my buddies absence and to do knowledge transfer. Basically, my buddy would transfer his knowledge to me, then I transfer it to whomever takes his position. I mentioned my interest in the position and the guy was excited and said it would be great to have me supporting the plant. He's a manager, however, he does not make that decision.

Anyhow, I tell him I have to bring my daughter and to alleviate the cost of flying her too, we won't need a hotel as I have family to reside with. He tells me, money is no concern right now Kev, we need someone supporting the plant, that's the priority.

I probably won't get the position, no biggie, but it looks like there is a possibility I'll at least get to go home for a few days, which would be awesome! ... because the company would pay for it. 🙂

Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Oo just saw a blurb saying that Dallas negotiated directly with Parsons and not through his agent
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I assumed that both guys will get paid, just a matter of when or how we get there
Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : McLaurin nor Micah going anywhere. They will get money
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : the Synder years or do they take care of one of their own?
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Do the Commanders risk losing a top WR with an emerging QB just because he's turning 30 and potentially risk damaging the rebuild from
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Turns 30 this September, plays at a high level and Washington has some cap space I believe
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : More interesting is Washington with Terry McLaurin
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I would imagine Dallas will resolve this issue with a truckload of money

Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site sure seems to be down more than up
dfosterf (29-Jul) : 50 cent hookers? I'm moving to Green Bay. I thought it was just real estate that was more affordable there. 😂
Zero2Cool (29-Jul) : Sure seems site going down more than 50¢ hooker
Mucky Tundra (27-Jul) : Golden with two TDs in red zone drills today
Mucky Tundra (27-Jul) : @JacobMorley Shoutout to Quinn Ewers for allowing Matthew Golden to be available when Green Bay picked.
