Sex and gaming may not be mutually exclusive, but I'd be willing to be a decent sum there is a rather strong negative correlation between frequency of gaming and frequency across the gamer population.

You might go clubbing every week and bang with random girls but there are still way too many hours in a week which you could fill up with something else.

And I don't see why gaming is more harmful in that way than watching TV, playing D&D (Zombie), spending your days obsessing about German (NSD) or arguing online, with total strangers, about a sports team which you really can't change anything about (All of us here).

It's the whole timesink thing that does it. And gaming is just the most widely-popular, non-accepted timesink around atm.

Now that I'm working in an office where I'm supposed to be supervising a bunch of idiots and I've got a wife to distract me that I'd quite frankly rather be spending time with, the priorities have kind of shifted a bit.

Buy it, rent it, play it NOW! This might be the best game I have ever played!

I did everything possible in Oblivion. By that, I mean, I earned every achievement in the game, including the two major downloadable content. It took me forever, but that game was so satisfying. I'm definitely looking forward to Skyrim. The reviews are off the charts, as expected, and they look like they enhanced just about everything about the game.

Well I wouldn't call either of the Mass Effect games released thus far true "RPG games". More like 3rd person shooters with deep RPG elements. But I can see why people call it an RPG over a shooter, after all the story and narrative are a much bigger part of the game than the gameplay and combat.

Regardless, best video game series ever. If any gamer here is into sci-fi and hasn't played Mass Effect they seriously need to go get it.

Damn you guys. I haven't touched my Xbox in god knows how long (over a year), and I gave in and am buying it today.

Just got back from tour where I'd left 2 days of Skyrim behind. Tonight we shall commence with a bottle of bourbon and some green. 😃

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.
