Santana is too low.

Eddie Hazel is far too low.

And Prince at 186? Give me a freakin' break.

Yes, Prince is underrated. Was it you who posted him blowing everyone else off the stage in "While My Guitar Gently Weeps?"

I'm kicking myself still for not seeing Prince when he played in Oakland (right over the bridge from SF). Santana popped in on stage one of the nights. My buddy said 'twas amazing.

I wonder how many people forget Prince on these lists because of all that Purple. They mistake him for a Minnesota Viking and conclude he's a loser.

Johnny Ramone ahead of Joe Walsh is hilarious. Don't get me wrong I love the Ramones and have most of their shit, but how many of their songs feel like they are composed of 3 power chords?

Seriously, though, I understand why he might turn people off with all of the above. I always refused to listen to him, until I developed this serious thing for this major waitress babe who was a big fan. Then I realized he has some seriously good music, definitely worth listening to.

And re: his guitar, check out his guitar solo on "My Guitar Gently Weeps". It'll blow you away. And he's not wearing purple, IIRC.

Here it is so you don't have to look it up...solo starts about 3:25 or so.

I suggested she get her video out and watch it. She did. came back with some vague non agreement agreement so I dropped it.

Ironically the first 3 utube links had video but no audio. At first I thought my computer was muted but I checked other places and had sound. Just not the HoF links. Strange.
