I understand Longtime Tebow is a reach but i think it would be a good pick. We could trade Brohem and maybe get an extra 3rd, we will have what 3 2nd round picks anyhow. The TE is a position we don't talk much about but get rid of the loud mouth. Tebow is projected to play TE so just think him on every down being in the huddle defenses wouldn't know what to expect. But i know Ted Thompson wouldn't do something like that but watch someone will with him.

BTW just to correct you on one thing Ted Thompson has only had 3 1st round picks, we traded away our #1 last year.

I see that everyone is saying we need line help, but do we really want more projects on our line next year, you thought Rodgers was running for his life this year wait till next.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I agree with the new scheme on the Line but i think we should go thru FA to get one or 2 linemen we don't need more projects. I guess i'm just looking for the Big splash draft pick and we really haven't had that with Ted Thompson at the helm, sure you could say Rodgers but he fell to us and he didn't make that immediate splash.

I wasn't nit picking Long i was just stating that Ted Thompson has only 3 1st round picks.

I guess i'm just so frustrated with this team i have no idea where to start with the draft.

Another reson for Tebow would be you could have a guy that plays 2 to 3 positions and you could use those spots to sure up the depth on the lines. Carry one less QB and maybe even 1 less RB

I actually kind of agree with dhazer about the Tebow thing...I also heard that he might be a fullback, and the way that Green Bay puts the TE's in the backfield, why not?

I also like the idea of a wildcat with him because he's a good runner and passer. IMO, he's set up perfect for us. But will Ted Thompson be smart enough to do that? That's yet to be seen. But it gives us something to discuss anyway.

Only thing: will Tebow still be around in the 2nd round? And I would not use a 1st on him, we have bigger needs on both lines. Also, he might not even go into the draft this year.

I would like the Pack to look at Brian Orakpo this guys seems like he would be a beast on the other side of Kampy. And if we ever switch to a 3-4 he would be a good in that.

I'd be shocked if Tim Tebow comes out. He has little chance to go in the first round. He'll be told that or probably already has been and my guess is he'll come back to school for his senior year.

He's probably a 2nd or 3rd round pick as an H-Back type of player. Think Chris Cooley.

I think Orakpo is the best 3-4 pass rusher in the draft. While I would like to see the Packers take him, my guess is a 3-4 team would either trade up for him or one picking ahead of the Packers will just take him. Cleveland for example assuming they stick with the 3-4 which I think they because of the coaching candidates rumored for the job.

At first I was strongly opposed to the idea of drafting Tebow (I have a visceral loathing for running quarterbacks). But Dhazer and I talked this pick over in the #Packers Home (yes, with the space -- Zero hasn't opened up #packershome) channel last night and I am actually going to come out and endorse it. I don't think Tebow will make a great passing quarterback in the league, but his versatility could be a boon to us. Imagine, say, lining up Tebow, Grant, and Jackson in the backfield on the same play! Considering Rodgers' own mobility, defenses would never know whether to defend against run or pass. Plus I'm sick of watching Rodgers run for his life every play, so having an extra body in the backfield could only be beneficial.

Given Ted Thompson's rather idiosyncratic approach to drafting, given his belief (inherited from Ron Wolf) in drafting at least on QB every year, and especially given his predilection for choosing players who can play multiple positions, it wouldn't surprise me at ALL to see him go after Tebow.

I agree with Porky. I give it about a 5% probablity that he enters the draft this year. The kid has heart, no doubt, and I like that, but there is NO WAY I would want to use the draft pick that will be used to get him next year, unless I see something drastically different. I do not want that kid to ever throw a ball on behalf of the Packers... he throws a high school quarterback football, imo. The other stuff you mentioned only works against us, not for us...we are a simple people, and get razzle-dazzled rather easily  As far as Aaron running around for his life, I'd like several >325 lb. linemen to have a say on that matter, contrasted with next year's NFL version of R U U D Y !!! (I think you can tell that dhazer hasn't quite convinced me yet. lol)

I agree with your assessment. I don't believe he'll come out either. He was indecisive in declaring for the draft, saying he merely wanted to test the waters and find out where he'd go. I don't think he sounds committed at all. I also agree that his draft status (barring injury) next season will be way too high to merit wasting a #1 pick on him.

My support of Tebow extends only if he comes out this year, as a 2nd- or 3rd-round pick.
