As far as Packers coach Mike McCarthy is concerned, his two-headed backfield next season will be DuJuan Harris and somebody else.

After missing out on free-agent running back Steven Jackson, the Packers plan to give young DuJuan Harris a shot at the starting job this season.

“I wish we would have had DuJuan earlier,” McCarthy said. “He was a young man that we were just getting ready to try to put in the game. Everybody’s like ‘just put him in there.’ Well, hell, you put him in there, there aren’t too many runs in our offense where we can’t go to a pass, and now he’s protecting for Aaron Rodgers. That’s why there’s a lot of stress schematically and responsibility wise on our running backs, and that’s not going to change because of our quarterback. Once he got ready, I felt great about the way DuJuan finished the season. Looking forward to having him for an offseason and look for good things for him.”

I think he has a bright future. I like how tough and quick he runs. What was his forty? 🙂

http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=70264&draftyear=2011&genpos=RBDates : 03/04/11

Height: 5 07
Weight: 197
40 Yrd Dash: 4.44
20 Yrd Dash: 2.58
10 Yrd Dash: 1.44
225 Lb. Bench Reps: 27
Vertical Jump: 38 1/2
Broad Jump: 10'00"
20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.35
3-Cone Drill: 7.15

The more Ted passes on these older experienced RB's, the more I am looking foward to seeing Harris, Green, and Saine compete for playing time.

Green a little bigger than Harris, Saine also, at one time Sain was a little faster, but after the injury last year, it remains to be seen if he gets all his speed back.
I would like to see Saine put on a few pounds and eventually replace Kuhn at the starting FB spot.
I'm hoping the injury bug doesn't hit The Packers as hard this year.

I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

Brandon Saine needs to be cut. He's a lost cause.

DuJuan Harris and James Starks complement one another very well. Both, I feel, need to improve in all aspects of the passing game. That means pass blocking, blitz pickup, receiving and whatever else you can think of.

I love the toughness of this Harris kid. Good runner. Aggressive. Confident.

I like Harris, but I still think we need a more complete back in this offense. I Kind of like the Taylor Kid from NC State and I think we could get him in the late 2nd or 3rd round depending on where Ted Thompson moves around this year. I think Pairing up Harris with a draftee is essential to taking some pressure off the vertical game this year.

I am a bit skeptical. 32 teams pass on the young man 7 times in the 2011 draft.

The juggernaut Jacksonville picks him up as a FA. They are so deep on talent that he hardly ever sees the field so they release him a year later.
One can argue Jacksonville has a lousy team because they can not evaluate talent. Ok. Fine.

2 days later Pittsburgh acquires him and release him after a whole 4 days. Pittsburgh has had more than their share of problems at RB including wondering if they are going to keep Mendenhall.

Don't get me wrong. I like what little I have seen of him but I need to see a whole lot more before I am comfortable with him being the one who solves all the running woes for GB. There have been too many guys come in look good for a season or even a few games and then disappear after the league adjusts to them.

Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : and because it's not a dynasty league (which makes a lot more sense to be ability to trade picks)
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Oh I know; I was just exploring and it blew my mind that you could trade picks because of the whole reordering thing
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Zero, I think I preferred my offer: your 1st for my 15th rounder
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : Keep in mind, we do a draft reorder once all members locked in
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : You can have my 12th Rd for your 2nd round
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Hey i didn't know we could trade picks in fantasy

Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Oo just saw a blurb saying that Dallas negotiated directly with Parsons and not through his agent
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I assumed that both guys will get paid, just a matter of when or how we get there
Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : McLaurin nor Micah going anywhere. They will get money
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : the Synder years or do they take care of one of their own?
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Do the Commanders risk losing a top WR with an emerging QB just because he's turning 30 and potentially risk damaging the rebuild from
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Turns 30 this September, plays at a high level and Washington has some cap space I believe
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : More interesting is Washington with Terry McLaurin
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I would imagine Dallas will resolve this issue with a truckload of money
Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : Micah pulling a Myles with trade request

Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site will die, I have to restart it.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Quinn stinks. Lot of underthrows. (my guess)

dfosterf (30-Jul) : All I've experienced was late at night or early morning. I just figured you were doing something in the background
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site sure seems to be down more than up
