If this is balance, then I guess it ain't bad. I have to admit to being a little bit annoyed early on when the Packers ran too much on early downs, but the fact is, this became another pass-fest for the Packers - letting Aaron Rodgers do what he does like nobody else.
Yeah, Lacy was good, and I'm glad of it, but this was the Vikings, and even against them, run-first didn't work. Lacy had success after Rodgers set it up with passing success - and THAT should work against just about anybody. I would suggest that a run-first style would have even less success against a better defense, whereas Rodgers can pass on anybody.
And while our O Line gets a tiny bit of credit, the fact is, almost all the time, Rodgers was still hurried and forced out of the pocket even by the Vikings. Thank goodness he can pass better that way than any other QB even with good blocking, and (I say this after watching an interception-filled day on TV) thank goodness he has the composure and good sense not to force it or put it up for grabs.
