sure looked like the same official last year in the Fail Mary game that called it a TD....I know he was a replacement ref, but wondering if someone could find out the names of the officials in last nights game

When you watch it on replay from 3 angles it's tough to tell if it was a catch, so much so that Mike decided not to challenge against the will of 75,000 pleading fans. The ref made the call at game speed with only one chance to see it.

There is no way you can fault the ref for that call and for that matter is may have been the right call. He certainly was juggling the ball at first and to see at game speed whether or not he finally got possession in the half of a split second before he went out would be nearly impossible.

The one ref was fairly adamant that he made the catch but the one with the better view was just as adamant and over ruled him (as it should be)

You're not going to be given the benefit of the doubt very often if you're juggling it while falling out of bounds, which he clearly was.

I'm not gonna blame McCarthy for very much. He came close to pulling that game out despite the badness of Wallace and the problems with the D. but ........

HE SHOULD HAVE CHALLENGED THAT NO CATCH CALL.

He had to have people in the booth seeing exactly what we saw on TV: the ball did not move at all in his hand,, and Quarless clearly got his knee down in bounds with possession.

I dismissed it at the time when the punt was downed at the 1, but if that pass was called complete, there is a strong chance of a field goal and a moderate chance of a TD for the Packers before the half.

Cannot really blame the ref. McCarthy should have challenged it, with a back up QB in field position like that is precious. It's worth the TO and challenge to possibly be in scoring position.

We've all seen McCarthy make a lot of dumb challenges. There is no exception to him not throwing this flag with how close of a call that was. He had two refs making two different signals...you throw the red flag.
