The thing I hate about moving him back to NT and doing what he wants is it just seems to send the message that you can mope about and eventually get what you want. The other thing is if he plays well it begs the question of why they didn't do it sooner. Either way, if resigned, I hope he plays motivated at not getting money this offseason.

The last bit about being able to focus elsewhere is probably the biggest positive I can get from this.

Will need to see what the deal is worth, I would hope maybe 4mil for the season.

Boyd occupies and Raji gets back to what he used to do. Would be nice to see. Also no injuries in 2014!

Report was $8 million per year, $20 million guaranteed was offered during the season. If he signs for one year $4 million even if all is guaranteed, I would have to question how long the agent is continually employed by B.J. Raji.

If Raji fires the agent, then I would believe the agent overestimated Raji's value.

If Raji does not fire the agent, then I would believe Raji told his agent to STFU and 'SHOW ME THE MONEY'.

SHI-I-I-I-T!!!! I wake up to THIS?

I don't care if the fat piece of crap plays for nothing, the Packers are MUCH better off without him on the field.

craaap.

well, if anything, it takes some of the pressure off this offseason.

because as of right now we dont have:

FS
NT
DE
C
TE
FB
outside CB

^
these are not just areas that we are weak in, we flat out have nobody who can play the positions at a high enough level to compete with the NFC's best.

I'm not saying Raji is that high-level player, obviously he is not. but we only have so many draft picks and moves we can make this offseason to fill these positions.

ive been kind of thinking about this in 2 ways.

1. Raji is the only guy we have who can play NT without changing positions. we dont need more Jarius Wynn/CJ Wilson-types who dont fit.

2. Raji might be better at end then at NT, which could again help by only having to replace 1 position on the line rather than both.

unfortunatly, Ted has had some shitty drafts for defense, and our number of "consistently good players" is about 0 at this point.

I still have home and away Raji jerseys hanging in my closest that I'm willing to sell, real cheap!!!!! Never been worn because his suckage started real early in 2011.

This deal wouldn't even guarantee him a roster spot, so it’s not worth getting excited about one way or the other. They’re telling him to go out there and prove his worth to them and the rest of the league.

I say again, the Packers are better off with Raji GONE. And we DO have decent players in the D-Line. We do NOT need a fat piece of crap like Raji - not him, not Nix or somebody like that drafted early.

Worthy- unimpressive rookie year, blew out a knee which cost him another.

Datone- diddnt do much to prove anything

Boyd - (see Datone)

Danials- maybe

Wilson- proven awful (FA)

Jolly- neck injury, faded as the season went on. (FA)

Pickett- sucks (FA)

Raji- sucks (FA)

we have 4 guys under contract, and collectively they probably make up one of, if not THE worst DL in football going into this season.

You have quality, mobility, and a degree of athleticism, and best of all, you don't have damn Raji.

hahahaha I see you answered your own question with an edit before I replied.
