Most players get voted in a year late at minimum. Josh Sitton, Jordy Nelson, you think these are the first years these guys should have been voted to the pro bowl?

I'm not saying Linsley is a pro bowl quality center (don't know enough about lineman to say either way), but its rare that rookie linemen make it in unless they are top 10 picks and have name recognition.

Maurkice Pouncey from the Steelers made it his rookie season. I didn't expect Linsley to make it but if you listened to the Packers you''d be a little surprised he didn't make it based on all the hype put out by them.

I've never been overly impressed with Sitton. Great in pass protection...not that outstanding as a run blocker. He's a solid OL.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."

Maurkice Pouncey, 18th pick in the first round, arrived with plenty of hype and name recognition you would expect with a mid-first round pick. Linsley's biggest issue is nobody knows who he is yet, the pro bowl is a popularity contest after all. If you're ignorant of the role draft status plays in who makes the pro-bowl I don't really know what to tell you.

Jordy didn't deserve it last year? With the production he put up with Flynn, Wallace and Tolzien throwing the ball to him half the year? Ok, if you say so. Very good argument for 2011 too, 1263 yards, 18.6(!) average and 15(!) touchdowns, only Megatron and Gronk caught more TDs that year.

FTR in my opinion Linsley making the pro bowl wouldn't have been an upset because he's been a really good C this year. There are enough good Cs in the league though that it's not really a snub for him to not get in. It doesn't mean he is overvalued because his QB said he deserved to be in the conversation for a pro bowl because he did deserve it. There are other players that deserved it too though and the rookie got left out. Oh well, hopefully he plays as well next season and gets in then.
