If we switch to a 3-4, I don't think any of these two become a possibility anymore.

29 is getting up there, but he could have 3 or 4 more good years in him.

I doubt we can get him though......but it would be nice.

So Peppers wants to play in a 3-4... hm, interesting.

Dom Capers helped Jason Taylor make the conversion from DE to OLB in Miami back when Taylor won the Defensive Player of the Year in 06.

I'm just sayin' maybe getting Capers in and switching to a 3-4 is something to seriously consider for MM and co.

Of course then the Packers might have a shot at getting Peppers, but more importantly they'd have to go out and get players experienced in playing the 3-4 to ease the transition.

Honestly, I'm fine with whatever. I could give two poops if we run a 3 - 4 or a 4 - 3 or a 2 - 5, whatever. I just want a mean rough physical defense that offenses will groan when they see us on their schedule in the coming weeks.

edit, moan to groan so Bozz doesnt get so excited 😉

Obviously you attempt to sign Julius Peppers. Same with Albert Haynesworth and money talks. Pay them and they'd sign here.

Julius Peppers is getting awful advice if the report of a 3-4 preference is true. He can go and try the 3-4, but he's not built like a 3-4 outside linebacker. Peppers is pushing about 285 pounds. That's a DE in the 3-4 and even then I don't think he's as effective.

Jason Taylor was 260 to 270 tops and quicker on his feet. Plus Nick Saban basically ran a hybrid defense. Even Aaron Kampman is about 270 and he can't play in the 3-4 at least on paper.

Basically I'm hoping the report is bogus or his agent doesn't know what he's talking about. I think once scouts talk to Peppers and his agent, he'll come to his senses.

I could do without Jonathan Vilma because I really don't' think he's the same player he once was and your going to cut Nick Barnett or A.J. Hawk now? That's what it takes. It just seems a little bit much in my opinion and Vilma is not a 3-4 linebacker. That's why the Jets got rid of him in the first place so if Green Bay goes in that direction they're stuck with a bunch of backers who don't' fit the system.

i think we would need to sort out if we where playing a 3-4 or a 4-3 before going after Vilma he was a flop at the jets cos they play a 3-4

You can add 3-4 NT to the potential additions. We'd need one.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Oo just saw a blurb saying that Dallas negotiated directly with Parsons and not through his agent
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I assumed that both guys will get paid, just a matter of when or how we get there
Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : McLaurin nor Micah going anywhere. They will get money
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : the Synder years or do they take care of one of their own?
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Do the Commanders risk losing a top WR with an emerging QB just because he's turning 30 and potentially risk damaging the rebuild from
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Turns 30 this September, plays at a high level and Washington has some cap space I believe
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : More interesting is Washington with Terry McLaurin
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I would imagine Dallas will resolve this issue with a truckload of money
Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : Micah pulling a Myles with trade request

Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : if PH dies, there is packerpeople com available
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : database is on new host, eventually website will follow
Mucky Tundra (30-Jul) : Zero, regarding Ewers, you are correct.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Sadly, this might be our life for awhile. I could put it on another host, but seems it was slower, although more stable
beast (30-Jul) : How long will it be down?
beast (30-Jul) : RIP site 😭
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site will die, I have to restart it.
