No didn't know The Graham love affair w/ Jimmy G has been long standing.

And Z2C is right; if we signed Graham and he was on hands team; upon the ball being kicked to him, Jimmy not wanting any contact would have done and ola' and let Nelson get the ball. Of course, remember we're MINUS Nelson and he'd undoubtedly be playing for our adversary in the NFC Champ game allowing them to go to SB.

Having Jordy do that to us would have been worse...LOL

TE will be OK IMHO. If we were to upgrade something I would like an ILB, DE, LT and/or possibly CB before TE

I spoke to what I believe Jimmy G would do for us in the red zone. That alone would justify a move for him considering how much we need a real red zone threat. You take a guy with Jimmy's size and ability and give him to a QB with Rodgers precision and what do you think that result is going to be? Touchdowns aplenty. I'll take that over Mason Crosby trotting out every other drive.

Jimmy Graham at TE would've left us with TWO superstars at WR...Jordy and Davante. Haven't you heard that Davante is pretty much better than Nelson and Cobb combined already? MVP of OTA's.

We'll see how Graham does in Seattle and RR does in Green Bay. I have a feeling it ain't gonna be close. Wish we had the Golden Graham.

I'd rather have a decent WR targeted than a great TE, even Graham any day.

I'd also rather have my QB look to throw deep on just about every play - assuming he has the great good sense to not put it up for grabs if the receiver is covered, and assuming he has excellent ability to hit second or third or fourth receivers on check downs.

That does not mean JG would put up the same stats in GB as he will in Seattle.

Do you honestly think Graham would have the stats in Green Bay, with Nelson, Cobb and Lacy getting their targets, as he will in Seattle? I'll go one step further and say if RR was in Seattle he would probably have better numbers than he will in Green Bay (not Graham type numbers for sure so don't go saying I am comparing RR to JG) but better just because of the lack of targets the #4/#5 pass catcher get in Green Bay.

What I will give you is that if we had Graham instead of Rodgers he wouldn't be the #4/#5 option he would probably be the #3 or maybe even the #2 since it may have meant losing Cobb. It would depend upon how much MM would be willing to change the offensive scheme to include the TE in the pass catching role.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I think the Packers could turn RR or Q into a top 5 TE statistically if that is what they set out to do. It would be at a huge cost to the rest of the offense though and it would be the same with Graham. For any Packer TE to be top 5 in the league it would mean significantly less opportunities for Nelson, Cobb, Adams, and Lacy as a whole. My question then would be what did you really gain?

Jimmy Graham is a star. There is little doubt Aaron makes his WR's look better than they are and I like both Jordy and Randall. Separation has never been our WR's long suit. Graham has size and leaping ability that makes him Gronk like. A guy like Graham would've dominated BECAUSE of Nelson, Cobb, and Lacy...you think he would've been buried on the target totem...I don't. I think Graham would've been absolute lightning for us. I honestly do.

Hell he just has to improve on his blocking and The Offense will be better!

Every starter on The highest scoring team of 2014 is back.

The Packers get that 2nd year jump from Linsley, Rodgers, and Adams look out.

Scoring and yardage records will be broken!

The offense will probably have to carry the team early in the season until Dom gets his personal figured out.

I predict 30+ points a game the 1st half of the season, that includes week 2!

The perfect storm is all coming together!

You guys realize that Gronk is one of the most dominant offensive weapons in NFL history and you're calling some run of the mill TE "comparable"?

Yes, I love my Packers, too, but c'mon, man... Richard Rodgers is nothing like Gronk. He's nowhere near Finley and Finley was a long way from Gronk.

The O does have a chance to be 2011 special again. I completely agree but Richard Rodgers won't be looking like Gronkowski, this year, or any other.

Gronk dominates with who at WR for the Pats? Julian Edelman? Who is the feared RB of the New England Patriots? Richard Rodgers has it so much easier than Gronk ever will and will never be that type of player...EVER. It's embarrassing to read the comparison just because he plays for Green Bay.

Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site sure seems to be down more than up
