Nate Palmer will start at ILB against the Seahawks Sunday night. The 6ft 2in and 248 lb. Palmer is in his 3rd season with the Packers following his being chosen in the 6th round of the 2013 draft from Illinois State. This is his best chance to shine at ILB. I hope that he will excel and provide GB with it's next Pro-bowler for many years to come. Let us All wish him good luck and success !

I hope he is the answer, cause Barrington is not a 3 down linebacker.

Sam Barrington
Height: 6'1"
Weight: 240 lbs

Nate Palmer
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 248 lbs

I had thought Barrington was bigger of the two.

For better or worse, Palmer is the man.

I still can't get that image out of my mind of him getting through clean and then just bouncing off Roethlisberger, but I suppose that has happened to a lot of players. Barrington impressed me as an "effort" kind of guy; I HOPE Palmer plays with that kind of hustle too. The other thing is calling the defensive signals - apparently Barrington had become adequate at that. We better hope Palmer can keep things decent that way too. I think he will be all right if Matthews is the other ILB for most of the snaps.

Palmer's performance against Seattle, while not earth shattering, was without incident. In addition, as Seattle is considered by many to be a strong team, he has impressed me. Good luck Nate, keep up the good work. [thumbup]

He didn't look too bad out there. At least on limited evidence it looks like he has the potential to be adequate in coverage. He ran well with the backs and tight ends when asked to. Hopefully with some more time his awareness in coverage will improve. I was screaming like a mad man to turn around on the deep throw that bounced off his back and was almost picked by Ha Ha. He turns around and he's got an easy one himself.

Palmer did a nice job. He seems like a better all around LB. I wonder if Barrington got the start because of the Pack's desire to stop the run. Hopefully, as he gets reps with the ones he gets better and the game slows for him so he can make those plays(interceptions).

But Palmer was in pretty good position there... plus if I remember correct Haha (who's watching the QB) still should of had that one right? After it bounced off...
