However, McCarthy made one change in the offensive operation last week. Quarterbacks/receivers coach Alex Van Pelt moved from the coaches’ box, where he worked the first seven games, to the sideline. It’s likely this was the change McCarthy was referring to in his podcast on Packers.com (see the 7:30 mark) last week, when he said, “Frankly, we’re going to make an adjustment this week. ... In hindsight, job responsibility, when you go through a change, I probably might have asked too much of Tom.”

I have a feeling this offense and blocking strategy would make Joe Thomas mediocre.

So now who is up in the booth getting the birds eye view of what is happening? That was always Clements job when McCarthy was calling plays, being able to see what Mike couldn't from the field.

That could be a big piece that is missing.

As much turnover as we've had as a draft and develop team in player personnel, we've had more significant turnover in the coaching staff on the offensive side over the past 4 years. We have to give it time. We should also trust in that if Camp wasn't a good coach that Mike would have canned him by now. As bad as the oline looked last week, we cannot overlook the adverse effect Lacy's issues have had on our entire offense. He needs to get back on track or Alonzo Harris deserves some of his snaps.
