I can agree with this. I actually think Ted Thompson has been drafting pretty well recently. But yes, he does need to be more flexible and fill some known gaps with free agency and trades more often. He's been drafting pretty well, but not good enough to address every gap on the team. That's a tall order without more support from free agency and trades.

SOME in the media call him potentially the best ever. Has Aaron Rodgers proclaimed himself as the best ever? I'm not aware of that. There's a big difference between the media making proclamations and what Aaron Rodgers actually is, and I imagine he knows that, as well.

Rodgers probably does what he and the coaches have planned to do at the line of scrimmage and the offensive game plan as a whole. Either they give him complete control or just give him a few plays to switch between each snap, which he obviously audibles pretty often.

But the point remains that he needs more help, regardless of any outsiders claim of how good he is or might be. He's only so good and has his weaknesses. But he's good enough to win if the rest of the organization pulls their share. Why should Rodgers always have to compensate for so many weaknesses on the team year-after-year?
