Z you are correct he did agree to goto the Jets and why was that? It was the only trade Ted Thompson would listen to, so tell me what was Brett suppose to do remember the Packers failed him on a physical so they would have kept him on the IR. So if he wanted to play he had to goto the Jets. So i would hold a grudge against Ted Thompson also and i respect his idea of hoping his team does better than the former team.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

I have no issue with him wanting his team to do better either.. that is the nature of sports in general.

The games were played on both sides of the divorce DH.. if I had to lay blame.. I say it equally falls between them both. Mistakes were made in the handling of the issue overall, but listening to Brett today.. one of them had to go in order for their to be any peace in Green Bay.

But I don't support Brett had no fault in the past couple of years and the way it ended.

He had every right to be pissed..We all would have been pissed. Were the Packers dishonest? Ted probably was cuz he didnt tell Brett I am not doing what you asked...Ted just said OKAY..Is that dishonest? Depends as it isnt so cut and dried.

Brett told Al Jones in the paper last summer the "buy out" was not a buy out as they were talking about it for a while.....

Then he tells lady from ESPN during his LAST time in GB it was a buy out?

To me thats dishonest, or am I wrong?

Ok this is the real reason Brett is retiring lol. Tony Richardson said Brett told him it was time to retire when he was in his tree stand.

Brett has no right to be pissed at Ted about the Packers going with Aaron Rodgers instead of Brett Favre. Brett retired leaving the Packers no choice. 😞

I think his big issue is his perception of the packers being dishonest with him. As in any business, if you feel your bosses are not being upfront with you there are bound to be hard feelings.

I don't see him being too involved with the Pack until Thompson is elsewhere. that seems to be his main issue.

How exactly did they mislead him? I don't once remember Favre saying the Packers FO said one thing and did another. What I remember is him saying he had the "feeling" that the Packers didn't want him around much anymore. Yet they still were more than willing to put up with the retirement waffling and bring him BACK on board after he had called it quits, before he preemptively called it quits again while almost coming back... or something.

Nobody is the villain here, that's the thing. Nobody was scheming to screw someone else over. Brett's feelings were hurt, so he's pissed at Ted Thompson etc.. Yet the Packers made the right move. C'est la vie. I for one am impressed the Packers FO put up with as much shit as they did, regarding personnel moves, HC moves, etc..

This has all been said time and time and time and time and time again.
Nothing new here. Some think Brett got a raw deal. Others think (as I do) he was culpable in the matter.

Good luck in your retirement Brett. Thanks for the memories. I hope to see you back in GB in about 5 or 10 yrs standing there with all the other old geezers.

Brett's wife, Deanna, once asked Brett this question:
"Brett.......whats the difference between love, and retirement?"

Brett of course answered correctly.........

"Uh.......love lasts forever???"

He can afford to go hunting where ever he wants! (Lucky dog!)
If i were him, the first place i would get a hunt set up would be in Canada. They have some MONSTER bucks up there. And because they never see humans, they arn't spooked by them. I watched a hunting show on TV, and the hunter was talking, while this HUGE buck was only about 30 yards away.
If i ever get "rich", I'm going hunting there.

I hope he stays retired. Maybe, after a few years, I can forgive him for his actions last summer.
