I shake my head every single time I see a Franklin mention. He has gotten more love than those who said it's nauseating seeing people go on about Jeff Janis. Franklin did next to absolutely NOTHING in his Green Bay career. He had ONE De'Mond Parker type game and Packers fans penciled him in as Barry Sanders. It always makes me smile that De'Mond Parker is not remembered fondly but Franklin is. Franklin was god awful for the entire time he was here including pre-season save for ONE game that we were far behind in that he had one long run. Cripes, Brandon Jackson had one long run, too, vs. Washington. He was as a scrub. That "huge" game of Franklin's came with the game losing fumble yet somehow if we only had Johnathan Mayor Franklin all would be right with the world. That is just not reality.

To VOR, I take issue with calling Franklin promising and the connotation that somehow it was some loss that set our running game back. DeShawn Wynn had a big game for the Packers, De'Mond Parker had his day vs. Chicago, etc. None of those guys were anything and Franklin sure looked anything but promising save for the day at Cincy.

Ted Thompson sits on his hands per former GM: "because they’ve had 25 fricking years of great quarterbacks. Of course it works. Try it without a special quarterback."
