It is a generational thing. I have to admire the evolution of the Beatles music and how many other bands followed their lead.

That said Led Zeppelin was my favorite and I think Pink Floyd is a solid second. I would rate Emerson, Lake & Palmer higher if they never tried to sing.

I'm just going with 80's Metal. Too hard pigeonhole a favorite band. I have favorite sports teams, music doesn't work that way for me. Too many good bands to have a favorite.
