Green Bay Packers

Round 1 (27): Chris Jones, DE, Mississippi State
Round 2 (57): Jaylon Smith, ILB, Notre Dame
Round 3 (88): Joe Schobert, OLB, Wisconsin
Round 4 (125): Willie Beavers, OT, Western Michigan
Round 4 (131): James Bradberry, CB, Samford
Round 4 (137): Malcolm Mitchell, WR, Georgia
Round 5 (163): Dan Vitale, TE, Northwestern
Round 6 (200): Luke Rhodes, ILB, William & Mary
Round 7 (248): Robby Anderson, WR, Temple

I am not sure Jones will be there at 27 but we shall see.

I though Jaylon was having significant complications with his injury and is out AT LEAST a year. Even with his upside, seems like a waste of a 2nd rounder.

This is the kind of draft I'd fear. Every one of the picks with the exception maybe of Mitchell and Rhodes is a reach of at least one round IMO.

I like Jones a lot ...in the third. Notion that he goes before Butler, and before AShawn Robinson? Hah. Smith ...giving up a 2nd for a guy that won't play for a year....no. Schobert is 5th rounder. So is Beavers. Bradberry is a 6th. Rest are 7th rounders.
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

I would say the over/under on right picks on this mock is 1 and I will take the under.

This is going to be fun to watch. I can see the interest for Paxton Lynch being very strong right around our pick with a team jumping ahead of Denver because I think they take him if he's there and I think teams know that's a good chance.

IMO it would be awesome to drop back into the early 2nd with extra picks that would allow Ted Thompson to target players he could move up for without really giving up much. Give Ted a low 2nd and high 2nd, low and high thirds, and 3 fourth round picks and let Ted go to work.

It would kind of suck to wait up till 10:30 or 11:00 and find out there will be no pick until Friday but boy Friday would be a fun day.

There is not a GM or HC worth their weight in sweat the will tell anyone outside the inner sanctum what they are really thinking. Many like Teddy will put out false leads. Picking 27th on Thursday will be tedious to say the least.

Every single GM would trade you their last second this year for the tenth overall pick next year. I don't know why you wouldn't want to get this guy. Unless your docters have a very strong lead that he'll never return to form.

The Browns taking Shaq Lawson at 8, while one of the true blue chip prospects in Buckner is still on the board... He should be their dream pick. A 3-4 DE to pair with Desmond Bryant. Getting one of the top 5 prospects in this class after trading down from 2 to 8 and getting a fortune for it.

Then again, this would be a very Brownslike move to pull.

Zero2Cool (8h) : Well, not crazy, it makes sense. Crazy I didn't notice/find it earlier
Zero2Cool (8h) : it's crazy how one stored procedure to get data bogged everything down for speed here
dfosterf (8h) : to herd cats or goldfish without a bowl. They reminded me of the annual assembly of our fantasy league

dfosterf (5-Aug) : I'm going to call that a good move.
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : Packers sign CB Corey Ballentine
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : I'm not sure how to kill the draft order just yet so it's not so confusing.
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : *to be able
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : and because it's not a dynasty league (which makes a lot more sense to be ability to trade picks)
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Oh I know; I was just exploring and it blew my mind that you could trade picks because of the whole reordering thing
Mucky Tundra (4-Aug) : Zero, I think I preferred my offer: your 1st for my 15th rounder
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : Keep in mind, we do a draft reorder once all members locked in
Zero2Cool (4-Aug) : You can have my 12th Rd for your 2nd round

Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Oo just saw a blurb saying that Dallas negotiated directly with Parsons and not through his agent
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I assumed that both guys will get paid, just a matter of when or how we get there
Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : McLaurin nor Micah going anywhere. They will get money
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : the Synder years or do they take care of one of their own?
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Do the Commanders risk losing a top WR with an emerging QB just because he's turning 30 and potentially risk damaging the rebuild from
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Turns 30 this September, plays at a high level and Washington has some cap space I believe
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : More interesting is Washington with Terry McLaurin
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I would imagine Dallas will resolve this issue with a truckload of money
Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : Micah pulling a Myles with trade request
