I've never cared much for the grades before pads thing and feel strongly you need three seasons to adequately assess a player.

How do you grade the draft class for the Packers from 2013? Feel free to do individual or collective.

Year	Round	Selection	Player	Position	College
2013	1	26	Datone Jones	DE	UCLA
2013	2	61	Eddie Lacy	RB	Alabama
2013	4	109	David Bakhtiari	T	Colorado
2013	4	122	J.C. Tretter	T	Cornell
2013	4	125	Johnathan Franklin	RB	UCLA
2013	5	159	Micah Hyde	CB	Iowa
2013	5	167	Josh Boyd	DE	Mississippi St.
2013	6	193	Nate Palmer	LB	Illinois St.
2013	7	216	Charles Johnson	WR	Grand Valley St.
2013	7	224	Kevin Dorsey	WR	Maryland
2013	7	232	Sam Barrington	LB	South Florida

Great draft overall. Charles Johnson and Franklin were casualties of our medical staff.

Say what you want about Datone, but he never fit our system. Just now they're going to be (trying to) play to his strength as a pass rusher.

2013 1 26 Datone Jones DE UCLA -> D
2013 2 61 Eddie Lacy RB Alabama -> A
2013 4 109 David Bakhtiari T Colorado -> A+
2013 4 122 J.C. Tretter T Cornell -> B+
2013 4 125 Johnathan Franklin RB UCLA -> F
2013 5 159 Micah Hyde CB Iowa -> A+
2013 5 167 Josh Boyd DE Mississippi St. -> C-
2013 6 193 Nate Palmer LB Illinois St. -> B
2013 7 216 Charles Johnson WR Grand Valley St. -> C
2013 7 224 Kevin Dorsey WR Maryland -> C
2013 7 232 Sam Barrington LB South Florida -> A

Overall: A

I never liked Datone in the first round, he might be a serviceable player but he is not worth a first round pick in my opinion.
I've been on the record about Franklin not being able to become an NFL player BEFORE the draft so I was upset with the pick.

The rest of the picks are either nice attempts or beautiful selections. Lacy was a steal and I was amazed when Teddy picked Bakhtiari because I saw him play in Colorado and I was hoping he could become a Packer it is nice to see I was very right about him.

This was a nice draft overall we got starters in several key positions, too bad we couldn't find a better 1st round pick but it wasn't easy seeing the players available.

I still have hope Jones will find a role at the elephant OLB/DE role, at times last season he flashed some upper level pass rushing ability he just never got consistent with it.

First round selections, starters, never been too bad but never been a force, they alternate good games with games where they disappear, when you are about to ask for their heads they produce some play and when you are about to send them to the probowl they go unnoticed for a few games.

So yes, the problem is being inconsistent you put it very well.

I wonder if having these "flat" players is actually good or bad for the team, I feel they start because they were first round picks and not because they deserve it.

IMO, grading a draft takes from 3 to 4 years. However, as far as grading the Packers on the 2016 draft picks and being cautiously optimistic, I will grade this years draft class a B .

7 of the 12 still with the team.
1 offensive rookie of the year.
6 of the 7 have been or will be starters this year.

2 of the 5 Not with the team due to career ending injury.

1 is let go after 3 years of backup and spot starting.

Any other team in the league would take those results every time.

Mucky Tundra (8h) : and because it's not a dynasty league (which makes a lot more sense to be ability to trade picks)
Mucky Tundra (8h) : Oh I know; I was just exploring and it blew my mind that you could trade picks because of the whole reordering thing
Mucky Tundra (8h) : Zero, I think I preferred my offer: your 1st for my 15th rounder
Zero2Cool (9h) : Keep in mind, we do a draft reorder once all members locked in

beast (2-Aug) : Jerry Jones is infamous for ̶n̶e̶g̶o̶t̶i̶a̶t̶i̶n̶g̶ chatting with players one on one... and going around the agent.
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Oo just saw a blurb saying that Dallas negotiated directly with Parsons and not through his agent
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I assumed that both guys will get paid, just a matter of when or how we get there
Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : McLaurin nor Micah going anywhere. They will get money
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : the Synder years or do they take care of one of their own?
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Do the Commanders risk losing a top WR with an emerging QB just because he's turning 30 and potentially risk damaging the rebuild from

Mucky Tundra (30-Jul) : Zero, regarding Ewers, you are correct.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Sadly, this might be our life for awhile. I could put it on another host, but seems it was slower, although more stable
beast (30-Jul) : How long will it be down?
beast (30-Jul) : RIP site 😭
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site will die, I have to restart it.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Quinn stinks. Lot of underthrows. (my guess)
beast (30-Jul) : How did Quinn Ewers effect where Golden was drafted?
dfosterf (30-Jul) : All I've experienced was late at night or early morning. I just figured you were doing something in the background
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site sure seems to be down more than up
dfosterf (29-Jul) : 50 cent hookers? I'm moving to Green Bay. I thought it was just real estate that was more affordable there. 😂
Zero2Cool (29-Jul) : Sure seems site going down more than 50¢ hooker
Mucky Tundra (27-Jul) : Golden with two TDs in red zone drills today
