The four players abruptly agreed to submit to the interviews last week, after the NFL applied an August 25 deadline for submitting or facing an indefinite suspension. The circumstances have prompted speculation from those in the know that the league made it known through back channels that the investigation is perfunctory and that the players will be exonerated fairly promptly after being interviewed.

Not trusting Goodell has become the standard among the players and the fans. IMO, he has earned this reputation as he continues to carry out the owners wishes . I suspect some underhanded plot is afoot , yet I reserve the right to be happily wrong. This Commissioner's track record suggest that he will try to prove an allegation that has yet to be openly stated . I would not volunteer information beyond the strictest and narrowest of replies to the investigators .

Okay, that a good first step. Now there's just one more 6'3 285 lb hurdle to clear: Mike "dumbass" Neal.

The Union already sent an affidavit to NFL that dumbass signed saying he did not partake of the forbidden fruit, though he was suspended. That almost proves he was on Roids doing that sheet. [assho].

Hopefully he is better prepared and doesn't lie about his knowing Sly and Keller. They know, so he needs to tell the truth about everything but him setting up Sly with Pepp, Clay and half the team.

From a tweet by Dan Graziano. Prior, there was an article stating this was a dog and pony show and our guys had an assurance nothing would come from doing the interviews.

Years later when I was still using the advice the first attorney gave me the next one complimented me about how well I handled the situation. I told him about the advice the 1st attorney gave me. He liked it so much that he started to use it when he explained the legal process to other clients.

It kind of goes against human nature to shut up when you have the spotlight but you will be better off doing so.
