Pay attention to Aaron Rodgers and his footwork and the shoulder windup. Then watch highlights from the last year or two of Aaron Rodgers.

His footwork is pretty much the same. The throws are definitely different. I would credit that to confidence. He knows where he wants to go earlier so he can get behind the throw better. Now he seems to be reacting more than anticipating and thus he is having to rush throws which leaves less power in the throws. Which also accounts for the amount of balls being thrown behind guys.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

You could see his trailing leg in the air at times where he seems to have both feet planted firmly which is restrictive. You gotta have that body torque to make the throw more rhythmic. I've been watching clip after clip and not sure if I'm explaining what I'm seeing right, but that's the best I got, lol.

A few tweaks can be expected considering he's had some shoulder injuries, broken collarbone and that wicked ankle deal that messed up his calve muscle. You're probably right, it's probably just more confidence than anything. It just looks really different.

I don't see a huge difference. He still makes some of those throws now, not as often, but one could still make a highlight reel out of them. He's just not executing as well and isn't nearly as decisive. Fun to watch the way he used to play though. Amazing how quickly he lost it. The Super Bowl highlights are a striking difference. But that's not surprising, considering that was a Super Bowl MVP performance. Of course that would be different from how he has been playing lately.

Just throw it, Aaron. Don't hold back and you know what, if the receivers dont catch balls dont try to fix it by changing your play. The more you just let it go the more confident you will get. I'd rather have a confident accurate aaron versus much else. And in some very strange way, I want to start seeing that over seeing wins. I mean that.

Matt Bowen, former NFL safety and current ESPN analyst: "Technique flaws from his footwork to his core to his balance to his shoulders to his release point. One thing about Aaron Rodgers is, you don't want to take away the magic. He can make throws from, the scouting term is multiple platforms. What I'm seeing on the film, for example, the pass that he missed to Richard Rodgers [against the Cowboys], which was going to be a big play, number one, he looks impatient in the pocket, and this is a very clean pocket. Two, when he throws the ball, his shoulders are open to the target, so he's almost parallel. His feet are in cement. He's not following through, and it's all arm. And because of that, the ball is thrown behind the intended target."
