The "heart attack Pack" is taking it's toll on me.
Could we please just have a comfortable win this week.

I say again, the GB @ Atlanta NFC Championship game is going to be a SHOOTOUT .

I can imagine the guns blazing as the smell of the gunpowder fills the air. Shotgun formations and blitzing defenses. The battle rages on until ......

If Burnett plays I think we stand a good chance.

If Nelson is back we add another weapon for AR.

Cook seems to be a monster, Rodgers has to get the ball out fast and we need Christian Michael and Montgomery to step up a level.

If are defense holds up, we stand a good chance. Matt Ryan tends to throw some really bad passes once in a while we just have to be ready to intercept them.

I have a feeling Clinton Dix going to have a pick or two in this game!

Matt Ryan has never been there...who on the Falcons has? Freeney? You don't think visions of what Aaron did to them in the post season aren't fresh in their minds? Atlanta doesn't strike me as a mentally tough bunch. That Georgia Dome is going to contract from all the gasping if we start out like we did in Dallas.

All the pressure is on them. We're playing loose with house money. A team that barely got into the playoffs vs. one with the MVP candidate who should win at home.

Atlanta is much scarier on O than Dallas but is poorer on D than Dallas. We're going to score and score and score on them and I'm sure they'll score some on us but I wouldn't trust Matt Ryan vs. Aaron Rodgers. Freeman and Coleman worry me as much...both are great running and catching it. Dak is already better in those big game situations than Ryan is. You've got a guy noted for not winning huge games who is the favorite for MVP whose team put up the 8th most points in NFL history. If they lose, it will be put all on Ryan, and he knows this. Mentally, I LOVE Aaron Rodgers in this one. He's been there and there. Won in Atlanta in the best game I've ever seen by a QB, ever. That is not a house of horrors for us at all...it's like Soldier Field... a home away from home nice and climate controlled.

Hard to imagine this one not being close. May be like the WC game at Arizona...the kick 6 game. I just hope this one goes our way with no OT.

Atlanta practically has TWO Ty Montgomeries... We'll need more from our defense and score early and often.
Circular Arguments: They are a heck of an annoyance

Falcons defense is much better at pass rushing than the Cowboys, who don't have much for pass rushers especially healthy pass rushers... the Falcons defense is a bigger threat to the Packers because they have better pass rushers.

The argument is "with al our injuries we need all the players that can play"

I disagree with this.

I think Randall and Rollins hurt the team more than what they help.

If Randall plays he is toast in every single play. Watching him attempt to cover Terrance Williams against Dallas was very sad. If he is injured and anyone has to replace him it can't be worst, it is impossible to play worst than what Randall is playing.

We played one game with a rotation of Gunter, HaHa, Hyde, Brice, Evans in the secondary and I think that was one of our best games against the pass.

For some reason the coaches trust Rollins and Randall and they have played a terrible terrible season, I don't trust them at all.

If you care about the regular season:

DEFENSIVE RANKINGS

ATL vs. pass: 28th (Dallas 26th)

ATL vs. run: 17th (Dallas 1st)

ATL total defense: 25th (Dallas 14th)

Atlanta is clearly inferior to Dallas on defense. Their pass rush didn't help garner them a better than a 28th ranking vs. the pass. Plus, our strength is pass protection. We'll neutralize their rush and destroy that porous secondary. Atlanta's D is bad, bad, bad, bad, bad. There's no excuse for not putting 40+ on them, and I think we will. I just don't know if Atlanta will put 50 on us. I trust Aaron to get to 40 more than I do Ryan to get past the 40 Aaron will put up.
