n the last 2½ seasons, the Cleveland Browns are 4-35.

That’s right. Four wins and 35 losses, a .102 winning percentage. They’ve won one of their last 27 games and are winless (0-7) this season.

The Green Bay Packers, on the other hand, have played in the NFC Championship game twice in the last three years. Just two weeks ago, they were 4-1 and had the second-best odds (9-to-2) to win the Super Bowl, according to Bovada.lv.

In the current NFL landscape, these teams couldn’t be further apart. The Packers are a perennial contender. The Browns are the most ridiculed team in the league.

But Aaron Rodgers’ broken collarbone, which will sideline him for a minimum of a couple months and could be season ending, shows that these teams also define today’s NFL. Because the gulf that separates them comes down mostly to one position, the quarterback.

This is one of the most sobering looks at the Green Bay Packers. We are Cleveland minus 12.

Why do you think so many of us are sick of what we're seeing year after year? We have the best QB and a roster that is not good enough. We should have capitalized so much more on the gift of 12. Ted has squandered one of the rarest talents in NFL history yet his defenders go off on those who actually get it.

Read this column ten times or more to really let it sink in. Let it challenge all those pro Packers org perceptions.

OMG This is horrible!
The Browns are The Packers!
Without the 9 straight winning seasons, 6 Division titles, 8 straight playoff appearances and 1 Super Bowl win .

How Many more times?

And McCarthy is just an average coach. But, but, but, but McCarthy calls himself a "highly successful coach"(that's only if Rodgers is not hurt). I hope this sinks in to some of you, you don't like all the negativity talk, but it is what it is. This team is going nowhere fast. McCarthy and Thompson need to be called out big time, with consequences. Some of the media is sort of doing it, but only with whispers.

The point of the article was to compare strength of Cleveland's roster vs. Green Bay's. Thompson got skewered in this column and for very good reason. Your allaboutufda is your coping mechanism for not being able to deal with the reality of the situation. You love to praise this org but you do so errantly with eyes closed and fingers in ears. You will tell me I don't know football and that you just like to talk it. Neither are true.

It's a bitter pill but this org is not how it's been perceived under Thompson. He's an impediment to Championships. The Lions used to get hammered for wasting Barry Sanders career and he played RB. You have the best QB probably of all time and your goal is to play it safe and go for good not great? Newsflash. Welcome to being a fan of Browns North without Rodgers under Ted's management.

I have been one of those that have tried to post what I see as fact over what I wish the facts were. My greatest concern has been that GB win more SB's before they loose Rodgers to retirement or injury . If this season does not emphasize that point, then some need to look clearly at the reality of it. With Rodgers gone , GB is just your average team that might make it into a Wildcard slot if they are lucky .

Even with the early season injuries , the Packers were steadily getting better each week . Hundley , IMO , is still not the elite QB that Rodgers was . He may however just emerge as player it was hoped that he would be . In any case , it is going to be even more evident with Rodgers gone , what the true Packers are athletically, intelligently , as well as that intangible "HEART" will be easier to see.

Without Rodgers , I don't even see GB making it to the Playoffs in 2017 . [shrug]

Reality sometimes sucks. Without Rodgers, we are average at best.
Our defense is poor, our QB is at best average.
If we win a couple games from here on out, I would be surprised.
With no real defense to hold up their end, what do you think will be the results?
I'm not a "downer", just looking at it realistically.
Again , I hope I'm wrong.
