This is a pre-emptive posting, although, it's already been alleged I'm hating on the win today.

I predicted the Bears would win this game. I wasn't going out on any limb with it. It was expected the Bears would win. An unfortunate replay call turned the tide in this one. This was a rookie QB vs. Hundley, today.

Packers have owned the Bears for years. I underestimated the power the Packers still wield over the Bears even with Brett Hundley running things. That is a home away from home game. Still, I didn't think Hundley had it in him to lead this team especially without 33 and 88. Some good fortune, a rookie QB on the other side, and stadium full of good karma was enough to get this team to one of the 2 or 3 wins it needs to even have a shot at making it 9 straight seasons.

Jamaal Williams does nothing for me. I'm hoping Devante Mays gets his shot now. I'm going to assume the MRI isn't good for 33, and he's no longer a factor for us.

As for the playoffs...there are 10 teams 5-4 or better. We have a tie breaker over Dallas who is one of the 5-4 while Atlanta holds it over us as they are the other 5-4. It's hard to get really excited about barely hanging on in the playoff race with the way this team has looked without 12 and how bad the D looked even with him.

Again, in my world, I rate this team on the legitimacy of their ability to win it all. I don't think it's breaking news that this team is nowhere near SB worthy much less playoff worthy so a win over the last place team in our division is not activating my endorphins like it might be for some.

Flacco is next. He's been putrid this year along with that offense. Their D is very susceptible to the run but killer on the pass. I can't imagine us having much success vs. their D, but I also can't see their O having all that much success vs. our D. We might be able to sneak another one, but I still wouldn't be too rowdy considering the nature of the opponent. As usual, this team can beat teams with bad QB's but looks 180 vs. legit QB's save for Russell Wilson.

I'm happy the season isn't totally over but what I don't want to happen is to see this team do just enough to avoid major changes and fall well short of the original goal. Someone somewhere is going to make more out of wins over teams QB'd by dregs, when it should be looking at how we've done over the last 6 years vs. upper tier QBs.

Beat Flacco!

I remember the 1970s and 1980s when all we hoped for was to beat the Bears. So for me, this win was big. I didn't think we would beat them in Chicago.
Sure beats LOSING to them!

Even if this team winds up finishing 7-9, they can at least say they swept the Bears. I figured there'd be some growing pains with Hundley given his lack of playing time, but he's done a better job protecting the football the last few weeks. We're still not a playoff team and we beat the worst team in the division. I'm cautiously optimistic for 8-8 to finish the year, but anything beyond that is going to take continued improvement from Brett and hoping to steal a couple games from Pittsburgh or Minnesota who at this point are probably going to win the North.

You not being excited about a Packers win, is like saying grass is still green...

Doesn't happen often and I don't think anyone expected after this game.

I'm fired up for a win. Not fired up thinking Super Bowl. I good the way Brett played in the second half is how he plays the rest of the year.

It is hard for me wanting change as much as I do and watching this team eek out ugly wins.

If pressed, I'd rather have lost out to get things changed as opposed to these bore ball wins that don't really mean much.

Had Hundley thrown for 400 yards and 4 TDs, I'd be as excited as some are around here, but I'd still cite the D as a huge caution.

If this team beats Baltimore and we hear 12 is coming back, I'll still be a wet blanket unless this D has a bigger turnaround than Paul on the road to Damascus.

That's the excitement and please stop making it more than it is. We know, you want everyone fired, we get it, hell, a good portion of us agree with you. That doesn't mean we can't enjoy a damn win, something we haven't had in a MONTH.

I don't need 400 yards from Hundley. I need smart decisions and I didn't see too many yesterday. I am NOT saying Hundley is Rodgers, but I think Hundley's arm is closer to Rodgers arm, than Hundley's brain is to Rodgers brain. I gave myself a headache with that, hope you all get what I'm saying.

I was glad to see Hundley show up in the 2nd half - about damn time. That TD to Adams was a beauty, hoping he has more of those in him.

It was also great to see the guys up front make some plays on defense. If they could do this every weekend, I would be more optimistic about the rest of the season. We shall see if they can get it done 2 weeks in a row...

I am far from throwing confetti and celebrating, but a divisional win is a start, even if it was against a lousy Bears team.

The only real answer is because it was the Bears.

Right now, we have too many holes on this team for us to feel confident. There are a handful of guys playing extremely well, but it's not enough consistency across the board. This defense hasn't shown that they can win games for us if the offense is having a bad day.
