Apart from a couple boneheaded timeouts in the game and not kicking the FG in the third quarter, I honestly think it was a pretty good game for McCarthy. So used to seeing the Packers offense have very consistent success with a couple different types of plays in a game, and then him inexplicably changing what's working, the offense stalling out for 2-3 series, before finally going back to what was working/not being able to because we're behind multiple scores and have no time.

For the most part, we stuck with the dink and dunk which the Browns inexplicably didn't seem to try hard to take away. I credit McCarthy with that, and obviously Hundley as well for executing it.

Rourke I am stealing part of one of your posts from the McCarthy thread and dragging it over here into one of the many Hundley threads.

Any GM desperate enough to give Brett Hundley a big payday is probably on his way out the door. Then again, with as many season-ending injuries as we've seen this year, you never know what could happen.

Let's say there is no team willing to make a trade for him after this season is over. Brett plays out the his rookie contract and becomes an UFA.

Does some team give him medium bucks to be their backup QB?
Bigger bucks to be their starting QB?
Does GB make him a modest offer to be their Current version of the perennial backup such as Doug Pederson?

Even though I have been unhappy with his performance over the first three years, I wouldn't object if he is the backup for another 3 years.

Which in all honesty, the bonehead play might not of been so bad, if Clay Matthews wasn't right there to hit his arm... as the QB seemed to be throwing the ball deep, but Matthews hit his throwing arm and the ball didn't go deep. But if the ball went deep, it probably wouldn't of been intercepted as it probably would of went over everyone's head OR around his deep target, who just juked his DB off... and was semi open.

This might be going too far, but right now, Hundley seems a lot like Tim Tebow...

They suck until out of options and then good/great things somehow happen out of nowhere late.
