Get rid of the entire defensive staff. If McCarthy must stay, at least get rid of Edgar Bennett. Our offense has gone down the tubes since he has ascended. I'd rather just get rid everyone and start over though, including Ted and mike. That is just me wanting change because the current staff has a proven lack of ability to fix any of the issues we see over and over for years. I do not have any suggested replacements.

Green Bay Packers wide receivers coach Luke Getsy will become Mississippi State's offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Getsy, a former quarterback, played for Bulldogs head coach Joe Moorhead when Moorhead was an assistant at Akron.

Davis, Janis and Clark all look the same. There might of been some slight improvement from Allison.

Hundley showed everyone that the QB developmental systems at GB is broken. Someone on the offensive coaching staff needs to be held accountable after keeping Hundley around for three years with nothing to show for it.

I guess Hundley was not the first QB under this mediocre system though. When AR broke his collarbone the first time, having to go back to Flynn after Tolzien was a bust showed cracks in the system back then.

All this points to me to a decrease in development of the offense after Philbin left. Man that offense during the 2011 regular season was amazing.

Brett Hundley just finished his 3rd season in the NFL. We do have something to show for it. A lot of indecisive passes and a plethora of avoidable turn overs!

No one needs to be fired over Brett Hundley, what the hell is wrong with people that they always want blood? Unreal. It as Aaron Rodgers shit game vs Panthers that knocked the Packers out of the playoffs.

The Packers QB school lost some of its key teachers Tom Clements and Joe Philbin and also lost a LOT of valuable time with the new CBA. It's not like other teams are churning out quality QB's so lets get real here. The NFL has 12-16 good to great QB's, that's it.

What the NFL needs is not better QB's, it needs innovative offensive schemes that work with average QB's.

Scott Tolzien (who was not drafted by anyone) a bust? Wow.

Also, AR did have a shit game at Carolina. He may think he symbolically got benched by being placed back on IR after being a major contributor to taking his team out of the playoffs. He can fall back on the excuse that he was not 100% but that doesn't change the Packer's record or the fact that the team will be watching the playoffs.

Finally, I don't think NFL QBs are a zero sum game.

Hundley is not Rodgers, and that's the bar we unfairly set upon him. He did have some good games, but he also had some really crappy ones. Let's be real, he didn't even play a full season and we're gonna say to fire someone over his play? That's just nonsensical to me.

Hundley (at times) looked better than some starting QB's I've seen. The issue I have is he also at times looked worse than some College QB's I've seen. They need to get some consistency out of him. I think he could be a decent starting QB for a team if he makes quicker decisions. I say this because when the balls were against the wall, he made quick decisions and played pretty well. If we're going to blast the "QB School" for the failures, we have to acknowledge the positives too.

I don't think the staff is as bad some want claim, nor have I felt it was great as some claimed. Hundley kept the Packers in the playoff hunt. That's what his job was. Aaron Rodgers through any chance of a playoff run we had down the drain vs Panthers. And I fault whomever (Aaron or Mike) that didn't stick to the running game.

I wonder how the discussion went with Hundley over the past three years.
MM stops by the practice squad. He asks "How is Hundley coming along?." He looks over to see him take a 15 yd sack after running in the wrong direction to avoid the sack. Next play, the practice defense is unable to figure out the play and have 8 men on the field. Hundley scores a wide open touchdown.

A completion rate of 60% (according to NFL stats the #15 QB is at 64%. I ignored the first 6 who had 1 pass/ 1 completion.)
A QB rating of 90. Same issue. The mid-line is 91.5 and I rounded down.
Avg 200 yards per game. He's off to a slow start but the bar is set so low that he should be able to do it. # 28 QB is Jacoby Brissett and he is at 201.3
Avg 1.5 passing TDs a game.

He didn't achieve this line.
His completion rate was 61%. With so many exasperatingly short passes how could he not complete most of them?
QB rating was 70.6
Avg yards per game 167
With 9 TDs in 11 games he didn't get close to the 1.5 avg needed. The 12 Ints didn't help him either.

In retrospect it was probably unfair to expect Hundley to be an "average QB". The line I set up is not the stats for an average QB. They are the stats for and Avg STARTING QB. No matter how many games he played this year he still isn't the starting QB in GB. That's Rodgers mantel. It's ludicrous to assume half the teams in the NFL would want Hundley to be their starting QB. He may well be able to start for 2-3 teams but not half of them.

I think 2 things hurt his game. Poor decisions on his part and play calling. I think the speed of the game is too fast for him still. He gets spooked and runs from the pocket or chucks the ball and hopes something good will happen. If he remained a starting QB somewhere for another year or two he would overcome this and adapt.

Play calling is another matter. There is no way to win if you can't make an accurate pass that's 10 yards or more down field. Because of this GB was forced to have him throw almost all short passes. It doesn't take defenses very long to realize this and move everyone up close and tight daring him to throw long.

I think the coaching staff knew 2 years ago what they have in Hundley and tried their best to hide it during the games. They have a 5th round pick invested in Brett and they are going to stick with that decision no matter what.

Since it takes time to develop a QB I hope they start the process for the replacement backup in the 2018 draft. I doubt they will. We are stuck with an inadequate backup for another season before he is let go and the role of understudy to Aaron begins anew.
