I like his candor, but I still think once Rodgers went down he quit on his TEAM.

Through the life of true free agency, the Packers have been truly hesitant to fully utilize this tool for improving the roster. Despite making a huge splash with the successful recruitment of Reggie White in 1993, the Packers have been overly cautious since then, with the biggest arrivals coming in 2006 (Charles Woodson), Julius Peppers [more]

No one can resist the urge to kick the puppy (or should we call him the old dog?) when he's down. Then again, there's probably no one who would entirely disagree with Clinton-Dix on this score. The Packers' reliance on inexperienced rookies as backups does certainly make them vulnerable to injury, or so it's seemed over recent years.

Haha didn't really do a good job of selling it but I understand the point. It's important to have promising developmental prospects on your roster but your whole back up squad cannot be projects. There had to be players out there that could have been more useful than guys like Chris Odom, Donatello Brown, or Jermaine Whitehead. We already have young project guys at those same positions at Edge we have Biegel, Fackrell, Gilbert, CB/S we have Pipkins, Evans, Hawkins, Brice... I mean that's plenty, there are enough FAs that you don't have to drop 6/7m to get some vets in to compete. House is a good example he was well worth the price we paid and was a heck of a lot better than our project players despite being riddled with injuries all season. Gotta mix it up.

A few years ago I hated hearing the talking heads tell us that GB had the lowest number of players who had been with another team.

You don't want to have the most retreads but you don't want to consistently have the least.

Somewhere between 10-15 would make sense.

I don't disagree with the general idea, in fact I think the Packers were active in trying to plug needs with FA this year. It didn't work so well thanks to injuries, Bennett, etc. but I agree with the approach.

It annoys me to hear this coming from HaHa, though. Maybe if he didn't appear to bail on the season and check out on plays (e.g. Abdullah rushing TD Sunday) the Pack wouldn't have had some of the issues we saw.

And I will bring up the elephant that I believe most FAs don't want to come to Green Bay unless we overpay and Ted was never the GM that wanted to do that. I live in Ottawa and I know most NHL free agents don't want to come here. Yes we struck gold with White, Woody and Peppers, but we paid handsomely for all of those players to come here. Do we really want to pay a premium for players in back-up roles? But we have done well in that regard as well. Guion (when not suspended) and Evans this year were very serviceable veteran FAs.

Yeah draft and development isn't working BECAUSE HAHA ISN'T DEVELOPING!!!!

As for what HaHa claimed against draft and development... he missed the mark... that's not draft and development, at least not if he's talking about the Safety position. As if two rookies step up and look like they can replace an expensive vet most teams will move on. And Bush and Richardson were taken out by other factors.

Also is he saying his current young DB mates can't be held accountable?

Though if he's talking about QB in a round about way there he might be right.

Mucky Tundra (18h) : and because it's not a dynasty league (which makes a lot more sense to be ability to trade picks)
Mucky Tundra (18h) : Oh I know; I was just exploring and it blew my mind that you could trade picks because of the whole reordering thing
Mucky Tundra (18h) : Zero, I think I preferred my offer: your 1st for my 15th rounder
Zero2Cool (19h) : Keep in mind, we do a draft reorder once all members locked in
Zero2Cool (19h) : You can have my 12th Rd for your 2nd round
Mucky Tundra (21h) : Hey i didn't know we could trade picks in fantasy

Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Oo just saw a blurb saying that Dallas negotiated directly with Parsons and not through his agent
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I assumed that both guys will get paid, just a matter of when or how we get there
Zero2Cool (1-Aug) : McLaurin nor Micah going anywhere. They will get money
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : the Synder years or do they take care of one of their own?
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Do the Commanders risk losing a top WR with an emerging QB just because he's turning 30 and potentially risk damaging the rebuild from
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : Turns 30 this September, plays at a high level and Washington has some cap space I believe
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : More interesting is Washington with Terry McLaurin
Mucky Tundra (1-Aug) : I would imagine Dallas will resolve this issue with a truckload of money

Mucky Tundra (30-Jul) : Zero, regarding Ewers, you are correct.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Sadly, this might be our life for awhile. I could put it on another host, but seems it was slower, although more stable
beast (30-Jul) : How long will it be down?
beast (30-Jul) : RIP site 😭
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site will die, I have to restart it.
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Quinn stinks. Lot of underthrows. (my guess)
beast (30-Jul) : How did Quinn Ewers effect where Golden was drafted?
dfosterf (30-Jul) : All I've experienced was late at night or early morning. I just figured you were doing something in the background
Zero2Cool (30-Jul) : Site sure seems to be down more than up
dfosterf (29-Jul) : 50 cent hookers? I'm moving to Green Bay. I thought it was just real estate that was more affordable there. 😂
